Unexpected SICSR

Overall Rating
The college is good for BCA, but for BBA it’s not that great. If you’re planning to join this college thinking about infrastructure and a movie like college life, then this would be the worst place. Being a Symbiosis college, they need better infrastructure. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend it for a BBA course, BCA is good.
 

Academics Rating
The entrance exam for getting into this course isn’t hard at all so you can find people with 96% and at the same time 45%. The subjects taught in the course are fine and can be improved a lot, and many subjects don’t make any sense in the syllabus like Yoga in BBA.
 

Faculty Rating
Everyone has their own opinion on faculties, as the way they teach may be liked by few and not liked by many but to be honest, there are very few good faculties in the college, and the good ones are mostly visiting faculties, or don't teach you in 1st year, or are very busy with other classes.
 

Placement Rating
Looking at the past and current placement situation, it’s bad. One out of 300 gets a good placement.
 

Infrastructure Rating
It is just a 7 floor building with few rooms, barely space to park 10 cars; very poor infrastructure. Even out of the 7 floors, 2 are given to a different institution and all the computer labs are in a mess. There are only 2 lifts for the whole building with such a large group of students.
 

Campus Rating
Very few sports tournaments and activities are held. Clubs are dead. Fest sounds like a new word to the college. Clubs were made in the beginning but after 2-3 months, everything was closed and now no clubs exist. Few engagement activities like box cricket in the parking lot and other activities happen monthly once.

  • My Experience About the Campus Life at SICSR

    I just completed my first semester, and to be honest so far my experience has been pretty decent. I had chosen SICSR as it ranked among the top Indian Universities for BCA. I’d recommend Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research over any other private institute for BCA as the faculty is pretty good and the university is well reputed in India. Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research is well recognized internationally as well and they rank 641 in the QS world rankings.... Read Full Review

    It's a good college for students who want to pursue a career in the IT field. I've finished my 1st semester now and till date it was fun and I've learnt a lot of new stuff that has helped me a lot.     My experience in this college has been somewhat bitter as the exposure and campus life is very restricted. The campus is very small and the people are not of my type. The blend of IT and management made me join this course as that is the way forward in today's day and age.... Read Full Review

    The college has an extremely old campus, a 7-story building, out of which 2 floors are for completely different institutes. The college provides 4 courses: BBA (IT), BCA, M.Sc and MBA (IT).
