Life in Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research

Overall Rating
Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research is affiliated to SIU. I wanted to pursue BCA course in my undergraduate. I have to know about SICSR Pune, which is ranked 2nd in India. When I saw its curriculum, I found that it makes its students industry ready. The facilities are also very good. This institute has good industry connections which basically helps all the students in getting internships and placements.
 

Academics Rating
The courses of this institute are quite structured and there are semester wise examinations. To get admission in any of the UG course at this institute, you have to qualify their exam Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET). Once you qualify the test, then you have to clear their interview round. Academics and overall curriculum is upto the mark. All the subjects taught offer real-time knowledge to us.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of the institute is very smart. All the faculties are highly educated. The faculty here uses distinct style of teaching. If the students are not able to understand something in one way, then they will teach them in another way. These teachers also give real life examples while teaching in between the lectures so that we can concentrate and understand more.
 

Placement Rating
There is also a placement cell, which provides good jobs opportunities to the students after the completion of course. It already has very good industry connections and so many companies come here and recruit the students.
 

Hostel Rating
Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research also provides hostel. All the facilities are provided in the hostel. The infrastructure is very good and the hostel life is also awesome. However, no activities are conducted here.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is situated at the top of the hill. There is only one drawback of this institute. The infrastructure of the institute is not up to the mark. It needs to improve the infrastructure by constructing more buildings.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is average. It would be better some of the events and activities are organized from time to time.

    I just completed my first semester, and to be honest so far my experience has been pretty decent. I had chosen SICSR as it ranked among the top Indian Universities for BCA. I’d recommend Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies and Research over any other private institute for BCA as the faculty is pretty good and the university is well reputed in India.     It's a good college for students who want to pursue a career in the IT field. I've finished my 1st semester now and till date it was fun and I've learnt a lot of new stuff that has helped me a lot. The college has a standalone building which doesn't have a big campus- it has a canteen though. Overall the college is good and I would recommend it to everyone.... Read Full Review

    My experience in this college has been somewhat bitter as the exposure and campus life is very restricted. The campus is very small and the people are not of my type. The blend of IT and management made me join this course as that is the way forward in today's day and age.... Read Full Review

    The college is good for BCA, but for BBA it’s not that great. If you’re planning to join this college thinking about infrastructure and a movie like college life, then this would be the worst place. Being a Symbiosis college, they need better infrastructure.     The college has an extremely old campus, a 7-story building, out of which 2 floors are for completely different institutes. The college provides 4 courses: BBA (IT), BCA, M.Sc and MBA (IT).
