Learning experience at IIM Jammu is quite holistic. They involve Harvard case studies which has helped me gain knowledge about the practical industry life. Through the many internship and live project opportunities we can build our resume and gain maximum corporate exposure. This helps us during the final placements. The faculties are the best. They have both industry and teaching experience therefore they provide us with industry relevant course outline.

The motive for enrolling in the program was to study in an IIM and to secure a safe placement with good package. We are required to give the entrance exam CAT, post which upon getting shortlisted CAP process begins which involves PI. If we clear that also we are good to go for the program.

The faculties are very supportive. Since they have industry experience they prepare highly industry relevant course outlines and take feedback from all students to bring any required changes in their outline. They are actively involved in research papers therefore they remain updated with the most recent trends. They are easy to approach and guide us in every way possible.

We do have a placements committee which brings corporate to our campus for final placements. Apart from placements it also helps us work as interns in the best companies like Tech Mahindra, HUL, etc. It helps students with fewer contacts in the industry.

It is a residential program. The hostels are good and provide best facilities. However there might be few challenges here and there but they exist everywhere. You get single room with AC and Heater. Each floor consists of a washing machine and dryer. There are fixed timings for girls and boys to enter each other's hostels.

The academic block is beautiful especially the library named Nalanda. It consists of areas where we can sit and relax while reading a book, making notes. It also has small conference rooms for group discussion. Classrooms have the best technology with rotating boards, projector and screen to operate from desk. There is a round seating for maximum visibility and each seat has its own charging port.

There are many clubs, committee to build leadership and communication skills. They also add as POR in resume. The annual management fest is Empyrean which is a 3 day fest involving case study competition along with other events. The campus is lively specially during night time when most of the people are outside playing badminton, volleyball, foosball, basketball etc.
