Frankly speaking as a M.Tech student, I never thought I will have this much fun. My answer is based on what I expected and considering that with the amount of fun that I had there. Getting admissions here is quite tough as it is one of the best colleges that offer M.Tech in CSE. Students from across the country chase this college but one needs to be best to get here. A good score at GATE and then the interview process. It will give you the feel of an MBA but the only difference is that in interview, you will only be asked about CSE. Thus, if you haven’t done well in your graduation then a top score at GATE won’t be enough to get you admissions in this prestigious college. The fees is low I would say because 2.5 lakhs for 2 years was more than reasonable I felt. The facilities are good even though the college is not that big. The college is located in safe and sound location but had to stay at the hostel that had very strict timings. Who cared though as we had enough fun at the campus to make memories that will stay with me and my friends forever.
M.Tech is tough and therefore we had to attend the classes at any cost. The only problem was that even during winters the classes started at 7 am. Getting up early and join the classes were a pain but once we entered then there were no looking back. The classes would generally have a pin drop silence as the professors were strict and any noise in the class was not taken lightly. Advanced teaching methods were used to teach us and more than the classes it was the IT resource centre where we had our classes at.
Faculty were simply amazing as they gave us time as much as we wanted. Even after the classes, we had the access to them and they were pretty clear that its students right to ask whatever they want to the faculty. Some of the students were shy and would rather approach other students. As soon as the faculty learned about them they took a joint opening up classes. Students can know about their teachers and teachers about the students. This exercise made things simple between us and as they said, we stayed in our rights and bugged them even at night, if we had doubts.
IT companies every year announces new jobs and when they take the list out where to get those students from, ABES EC must be in the top of their lists. Companies like Microsoft, Oracle, Wipro, TCS and over 100 companies in all joined hands for the recruitment process. Students had the freedom to apply in n number of companies and getting placed after learning from this college for 3 semesters was a cakewalk. Everybody got placed and with a handsome salary of 70-80k per month. This was the average as the highest went in lakhs as some of us got international placements too.
PG hostel and UG students hostel buildings were different. PG hostels only had a single or double occupancy options. The space of the single sharing room was good as I accommodated 2-3 friends while group studies. The rooms were cleaned daily and the hostel had cameras on all floors. The dining hall was great and I got accustomed to hostel food so I would say the food was good. The only problem that I had with the hostel was timing as even boys had to be back to their hostels by 8.30 and if we were by chance late, a proper explanation has to be provided or else a complaint call was made immediately to our parents or local guardians.
The college campus was beautiful. Much smaller than my previous college Thapar Institute of Engineering but had more or less the same facilities that we had there. Top classrooms, nice labs, a state-of-the-art auditorium, and beautiful sports ground. Canteens were given much stress here because Ghaziabad is close to Delhi and people here chase brands. So, we had some branded cafés at the campus including Sir John Bakery. Outside food was prohibited inside the campus so we had to deal with the canteens and café’s at the campus. They were all good and I seriously never felt like going out specially for food. Malls and everything else was close to the college campus.
Birthday celebrations were unique here. M.Tech students used to behave like kids a week before their b’days. We would have cake cutting ceremonies all 365 days and even if we didn’t knew the students, we could still join, if we are craving for a bite of cake. Students present at the campus were absolutely brilliant and sharing and passing the knowledge with them was one of the biggest pluses at ABES EC. I had a great time and would highly urge students to chase this college for M.Tech as it is brilliant in all departments.
ABES Engineering College Ghaziabad is a perfect college for students who want to build their career as Engineers. After some hard time during the schooling, as getting admissions here required good numbers in JEE, I had huge expectations from the College. I completed by B.Tech (IT) in 2016 from ABESEC and will say that the College is quite cheaper than many other private colleges or universities. Many people have questioned the packages of B.Tech students here, but the College is more about lear... Read Full Review
ABES Engineering College is a top college for engineering in UP. Coming from Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, I had huge expectations from this one. There’s no worry as the college was way better than what I thought. M.Tech (CSE) from ABES EC is relatively cheaper than other private colleges, and if we compare that with the ROI, it’s not even peanuts. The course had loopholes as the study was tough, and one has to be on song to pass the semester exams in one go. The passing per... Read Full Review
