Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology M.Tech Review By Deepende Soam

NIET Greater Noida College is a synonym of dedication and hard work. The faculties were made to toil hard to look after the students in the best possible ways. The college is one of the best and needs some doing to get here. Entrance score is not the only way to get here as there are enough management quota seats to get admissions here. College is an exhibition of some of the finest architect and what it takes to shape the students career the way it should be. I know, I am being sugar-boo about the college but that’s probably because it was damn amazing. Academics were not all at NIET. The crowd which was one of the best would go head over heels during the events and not just the crowd support but the support from the management was equally overwhelming. Attendance was never an issue here as excuses can do you favor. I already learned the art of self-study but in my previous college it was because, I didn’t had a choice but here I did because I knew all the doubts that I had will be cleared in one go.

Inventions are necessary and that’s what NIET taught us. The old cliché was gone and some new methods were invented. The classrooms at the labs or labs becoming the classrooms were quite normal here. Even though the classes were lengthier than many, we had some jokes coming our way and that kept the atmosphere inside the classes interesting. Drawing interest is the main part of engineering and college has learned this art. Getting students engaged in all forms and try to make sure that students maintain their form was the key here. Hardly few students who failed at the semester exams and luckily the re-exams for those subjects were taken alongside the next semester and some relaxation was also given so that the students don’t falter again.

One of the kindest as even though there was no staff quarters here and most of them traveled from distant places, they would stop by, if we had any issues. We could even enter the classrooms and there was a common area which was used for solving individual doubts. At this level, it was unimaginable but at NIET better is an understatement. They are striving for excellence and I have never seen IITs or NITs but NIET has no flaws and the faculty’s repertoire was next level.

The placement card was played way before the final semester and I had hopes of getting a nice placement. TCS being the top recruiter and me targeting that became possible because of combined efforts of me and the placement cell. I was prepared by the college in the best possible way and likewise most of my classmates. We had the liberty to go and excel because the college gave us the word that we will be placed for sure. When has the freedom to play, it generally works and that’s what the college did. The placement rate was almost even and also the package that was offered was best among colleges of Noida.

I have had enough of hostel life and therefore passed it this time around. The college has many paying guest’s facilities nearby and must say they are all good. You will have more choices than you could imagine like single rooms, flat, or sharing rooms. The college hostel was also good but adjusting with a whole lot of people was over for me and that’s why I chose to stay independently.

Not the biggest of campus but well equipped and the facilities were high class. From classrooms to libraries everything about the college was designed with precision. The round shaped main building was indifferent to many. The ground was at the front of the buildings which was used for sitting more than playing though. Since the area is less all the buildings were close to each other and canteen was right beside the front gate. The labs were amazing and the star of them was the Innovative lab which had some new age technology that I haven’t seen anywhere else. The college has indoor rooms in each block and a newly constructed gym with Yoga, and Zumba rooms to take care of the fitness aspects of the students was there at the health center building. The same building had a medical room at the ground floor. The hostels were at the back of the college and college being in Greater Noida, you are never far from a decent mall or party place.

No hard feelings for anyone as I met some really nice while some crap people at the campus. The events were dominated by the juniors but seniors were given a perfect send-off during the farewell. The farewell party still remains close to me as my juniors are still in touch with me and we have made some really fond memories at the campus. Had enough fun as spending 8-10 hours daily at the campus required commitment and the college did well to make sure students remain committed.
