NIET Greater Noida's Campus Culture: Clubs, Fests, and More

Overall, experience in this institute is quite good. I chose this institute because it has good placement and best location according to my budget. NIET Greater Noida is the second best institute in the city. You can prefer this private institute above all the institutes in Greater Noida because this institute has autonomous status which differentiate this from other institute and because of this, they can introduce subjects of their own choice or of student’s choice. This institute has so many clubs. There is no ragging in this institute because first year campus is different from other year’s campus.

Currently, I am pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering with specialization of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. I chose this course because market has demand for it. I got the admission through UP government counseling of Engineering through AKTU on the basis of JEE Main result. I got 81 percentile in JEE Main and I am from Rajasthan. You can take admission in this institute by two processes; first is known as counseling second by direct admission. The semester is about 3 to 4 months and in each month there are sectional tests, which is for your internal marks. There are workshops after every semester exams. Workshops are off campus such as for Programming Python, Advanced Python, etc. There is a communication class, which help the student in removing their hesitation while speaking in front of many students. There is Constitution of India subject, which help student to learn the country’s laws regarding their corporate life.

Tuition fee is about Rs. 1,18,400 for 4 years. External exam fee is Rs. 7,500 and internal exam fee is Rs. 4,000 for each year. Security fee of Rs. 5,000, registration fee of Rs. 4,800, and student welfare fee of Rs. 5000 are paid by 1st year students only. For 1st year total fee is Rs. 1,79,100. From 2nd year onwards total fee is Rs. 1,55,700. There is no special concession in fee provided to category students. There is scholarship for UP students about Rs. 55,000 per year.

Faculty members of the institute are very good. They will clear your concepts or doubts anytime during the institute’s working hours. There are smart boards in every class in NIET Greater Noida. My Mathematics teacher does not use PPT but rest of teachers uses PPTs for lectures. The first year teacher keeps you as their child, and worry about your performance; they will call your parents if you do not perform well in sectional tests and end semester exams. Teachers solve many of the problems students face.

Yeah, there is a placement cell at NIET old campus. The cell help students by nursing there English, their code skills, and other things that are required for jobs in the industries. Companies like Deloitte, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Adobe, IBM, EY, etc. visit are institute. The average package was 7 LPA and the highest package that I know from senior interaction in our institute was about 48 LPA, given by Adobe in the year 2024.

Yes, institute offers hostel but it was full, when I reached there for admission. So, I took hostel outside of the institute’s own hostels. So, I do not have much information regarding the on campus hostels.

There are two campuses of the institute; first campus, which is known as new campus is only for 1st year students and an old campus for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year students. The campus size is about 11 acres and is situated near Knowledge Park 2 Metro Station. There are majorly two blocks, A Block and B Block in our new campus. Old campus has 5 blocks and one of the blocks is Mercedes Block. All the classrooms have smart boards but do not have Wi-Fi facilities. We cannot go and read books from library in 1st year and I don't know about other year students. There are no seminar halls in the new campus but the old campus has. The canteen is good in both the campuses. In first year, you cannot go outside the institute after you have entered. The ground of new campus is very small; we cannot do any activity there. I do not have any favorite place as such in the institute, at least for now. Washrooms need to be improved. As for the 1st year students the campus is newly built and hence lacks some facilities but it is improving day by day.

The campus life here is not so good but average. The institute campus was is small that you can find your friends in milliseconds; this is for the 1st year students only, for rest it is good. There are many clubs like ‘Spectrum’ for video & photo editing, video & photo shoot, and cinematography. I am part of this club. There is Khushi Bhatt club known as KBC is very famous and oldest club of the institute; it hosts events like drones shows, technical fests, etc. Institute crowd is about 2800 students. There was fresher’s party for separate branches as well. Currently, ‘Sanskriti’ fest is going on and tech fest is also held every year.
