NIET is a good institute when it comes to placements. Admission in NIET is mainly done through AKTU counseling and courses are allotted through the JEE rank. The first year fee submitted in the institute during admission was 179000 rupees, which includes tuition fee, exam fee, student welfare charges and many more. In addition, the institute hostel charges are different based on AC/Non AC. the hostel fee for 4 seater is 93600 rupees. For fees waivers, it is 60000 for first year and 40000 from the next year onwards (Tuition fee). The campus life of the students here is average to below average. First year students have lot of pressure due to its strict curriculum and strict norms in institute. Although, the fests and events are improved this year. Overall, for studies it is a brilliant institute.

Academics are pretty good. As the institute is autonomous, main focus is on real time experience and industry experience. The curriculum is very strict. There are 2 offline sessional exams, 1 online sessional, total 3 sessionals, and 1 end sem exam. The sessionals are very easy as the questions asked are directly from the workbook provided and the semester is a mid level exam but it are having easy marking on it. For programming skills, it is providing workshops of 1.5 hours after semester, which is mandatory. In my opinion, it should bring programming as a subject in first year also. In addition, it also has MOOCS course. It is the online course from Infosys and Coursera to broaden our spectrum. The main thing is that having 85% attendance is mandatory. As, it is an average tier 3 engineering institute of AKTU, it gives many assignments to do.

Faculty members are chill in my branch. In other branches, they are a bit strict. They are very helpful in nature and are very sweet and friendly nature. Many of them are having industrial experience in the companies like TCS, etc.

Placements in NIET are excellent as compared to other institutes of Greater Noida. The placement records are also good and increased in past years. Highest package offered in net is 58 LPA and average 6 LPA. the cell helps us a lot as there are communication skill classes from the very first day of first year by the placement cell it teaches you how to present yourself in an interview. It also takes extra classes, if you have reached to the HR round.

Hostels in NIET are below average. There are flats, and hostels have 4 sharing rooms and common washrooms that are average. However, the rooms have full ventilation and have separate balcony. These hostels are near the academic block, which makes it easier for the students to go back and forth.

Infrastructure of the college needs lot of attention. However, the campus size is small; it can still be utilized properly. It also needs to pay attention to the cleanliness of the premises.

Average campus life is provided here. There is a crowd of 5000 students (approximately). There are multiple clubs and societies. Talking about fests, the only big fest is ‘Jagmag’, which is also a daytime fest not so good.
