Medi-Caps is one of the best private institutes in Indore. The biggest difference between Medi-Caps and other colleges or universities of Indore is that the classes are not free at Medi-caps. It is life going to school again because the lectures have to be attended regularly and most of the things that happens here are like a school. You will hardly get time to get engage in activities of your choice as the university will keep students busy in assignments all days of the week. Keeping balance between social and college life won’t be possible if you join MBA program at Medi-Caps Institute of Technology and Management. While two years at the university, I never got the feeling that I am at a college. The uniform is mandatory for MBA students from Monday to Friday. Saturday we can come in civil dresses but otherwise not allowed. Discipline is the biggest conscious of the university and for the rule breakers the fine is as heavy as anything. I hate some part of the it but I feel good more as the university got me placed in the sector I longed for.
If one thinks that 75% attendance is good enough then please hang on because for MBA at Medi-Caps it is 80% and above. No matter what you need to have that attendance or come on Sundays and attend the classes that you have skipped. Even Sundays were busy for the students who skipped classes on weekdays or had any doubts left. The college is worth joining only if you can toil hard. Quite a few students even after paying the yearly fees left the college as they were not ready for such a strict discipline. Academics are the forefront of the college and if you can’t cope with that then I am afraid but the college won’t do any good to you.
Faculties literally pressurized us with assignments and projects. Most of the time I had a feeling of just giving up but the desire to have an MBA degree kept me going. Even if you are some seconds late, you will be marked absent. Their expertise is in giving students assignments and more assignments. If you can find time for yourself while pursuing MBA from Medi-Caps I will personally come and touch your feet. Faculties to me were torturing but all this paid off and now there are no grudges with them.
No one can question the placements of the college. Indore is a growing city and skilled manpower is in high demand. Many new banks, IT, and engineering students have made their way to the city and most of them were at the campus for pool placements. IT, Start-Ups and Banks were the core and my choice was bank. All three big names Axis, ICICI, and HDFC were available and a student can interview for as many companies that they want. I am working with one of the above mentioned banks and likewise most of my classmates too. The average package offered at the campus placements was 6-7 lakhs and since the college is still new, one can expect a major hike in average numbers in coming years.
The hostels were remarkable as there were both boys and girls hostel inside the campus. Outsiders' room was also built at the hostel and we can easily meet our friends there even though we were not staying at the hostels. All the modern amenities along with recreational rooms were available in the girl’s hostel building. The hostel also provided food which was considerably good as there are not many good restaurant choices near the college, one had to contain with the food provided at the mess.
The university is built in a space of 33 acres. The university is fresh and from buildings to lawns, one can feel the freshness that the university campus has. Facilities galore at the campus and one can enjoy as much as they can in the recreation room of the college which has set an example for the other universities. Not just the gaming facilities but music room was also there inside the recreational room. The university auditorium was much like the O2 Arena of London. The seating capacity may be less but the lighting effect made the events look even more beautiful. The indoor sporting facilities were brilliant but the university has left a lot of area to develop the outdoor sporting facilities. I never knew what softball is until I joined Medi-caps university as the outdoor sporting arena has a softball ground allocated. Girls who don’t play cricket of football will not feel left out as there are enough sports for girls to be played at the campus.
I seriously couldn’t enjoy and for that matter one can ask any MBA student of the university. We seriously had no time to join any club. If we had slightest of time, we will be sent for a guest lecture or a workshop. Our breathe had the right of faculty as we had to measure and breathe or else the faculty will make life hell for us. All in all, future would be bright but has to be ready for toiling hard for a couple of years.
