Honest Review on D.G.R.S.

Overall Rating
As a student in D.G.R.S, my experience was great. There are no activity groups or clubs, so the students only focus on their studies. There are native foreign language teachers available for learning the pronunciations of the European languages. The faculty members are very helpful. In this department, the student can get better opportunities of jobs too in companies like Amazon, with high packages. You should choose this university for a bright future as there are great career opportunities.
 

Academics Rating
I've enrolled in B.A. (Hons.) Italian. One can take admission here by giving the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) and scoring good marks in it. By pursuing this course, the students can learn the Italian language properly. You will learn how to read, write and speak this language as well as gain cultural knowledge about the country, Italy too.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members make the best curriculum for studying the Italian language. This college provides the best teachers and professors for teaching this course. They use different methods of teaching like; listening and speaking skills are taught through audios, songs and movies. Overall, the faculty members provide the best studying materials for their students.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, there is a placement cell in this department. Last year the company, Amazon gave jobs to many students with reasonable packages. The students can acquire many opportunities in other companies by having the degree in this language course.
 

Hostel Rating
No, they do not provide any residential facilities in the campus.
 

Infrastructure Rating
In the faculty of Arts, there are two Italian classrooms and one language lab. The structure of the campus is in the form of a rectangle with four gardens in between. This peaceful and green environment looks so beautiful, it creates a good atmosphere for studying. The water facilities are not so good. Drinking water purifiers contain chlorine in a high amount, resulting in the bad taste of water.
 

Campus Rating
There is usually no crowd, so one can sit peacefully anywhere. The department does not provide any facilities of making clubs or engaging in other activities. Only one fest called, “Piazza Italia” is organised throughout the year. In this fest both the teachers and students celebrate the Italian cultural with activities and competitions like dance, drawing, singing, acting, etc. The winners get prizes and certificates too.

    You will find a calm and quiet environment in Department of Germanic and Romance Studies. French, German, Italian, and Spanish are taught here. Most of the faculty members are very nice to the students. Being at this department feels very homely. The only problem is the timings. You have your classes until evening. Since it is just a department of Arts Faculty, we do not have societies. But it is not even necessary because learning new language needs full concentration. They do not have a playgr...     Overall, this department is a great place but lacks in extracurricular activities. There are a bunch of societies in the university, but all are inactive and since the total strength of the department is quite low, reviving them is quite tough. As this is a department, please don’t expect the same academic and social life as that of a college. It is a ragging free campus and the seniors are quite chill.     Overall, the campus life is good it is less crowded. Students can excel in the language through hard work and dedication. The faculty members are very humble and helpful, one can easily get placement in big companies like Amazon, Accenture etc., and good package is offered which can vary from 6-8 LPA, a handsome amount for freshers.     Overall Rating
    Since I found European languages interesting from the beginning, I wanted to learn at least one of them. When I came across D.G.R.S. I realized that this is the best place to fulfill my desires. I talked to many students of D.G.R.S. and researched more about it. I found out that here, there is a vast scope in the language sector and plenty of opportunities to grab.
