I am currently studying at Jyothi Engineering College, Thrissur. Overall my college is an above average private engineering college which provides brilliant infrastructure, good technical facilities, brilliant faculties, good support in sports, extracurricular activities, good placements and a very friendly environment. My college is a private college, so the management and teachers will be strict in academic activities but also very lenient if we don't mess up our studies.

My college, Jyothi provides B.Tech, M.Tech and Ph.D courses in various streams such as Computer Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, and Cyber Security courses. To enter B.Tech in my college, you have to score a reasonable score in the entrance exam KEAM and also have good marks in +2. You will be able to get several scholarships based on your entrance and +2 marks. The course fee collected here is the standard private engineering college fees which is ₹75,000 per year.

The faculty is very friendly and helpful in academic and non academic activities. We have experienced faculties in every branch and every subject. They are very willing to help and teach you and make you a better version of yourself if you are willing to study. Discipline is a must among our faculties. Many of the faculties have completed Ph.D.

Yes, we have a good placement cell here in our college. They help you get prepared for placement interviews and stuff. From first year onwards, there will be classes on public speaking, group discussion and so many more. If we do our part beautifully, placement cell will take care of rest of it.

We have good hostel facilities in our college for both boys and girls and also faculties. The hostel fees are reasonable and the facilities they provide are good. Good, healthy food is provided and a bed, table, chair and wardrobe will be provided in your rooms.

The college is situated on a hilly area. It is away from town area so it’s quiet and very peaceful here. Our college provides a very good infrastructure, separate sections for each branch, a very grand football ground, two basketball courts, volleyball court, table tennis court, a good canteen, a well equipped stationary shop, and very big library.

Campus life is average. Since it is a college of private management, it is little strict here, but you will be well - disciplined. There is very grand TechFest here named Tharang and it is a two day TechFest with a lot of fun and many activities. There is very good support in sports and other extra curriculum activities.
