JECC Thrissur: Campus Life, Infrastructure, and Events

I still remember the day I came to take admission here. Till that day I was confused about different colleges but after I visited Jyothi Engineering College Cheruthuruthy, my every doubt got cleared. For me the college was nice it had a silent and nature friendly atmosphere and the management and admissions team was very helping and made the process easy. It was the campus infrastructure which has attracted me. The things that make this college different from other colleges are the programs that Jyothi Engineering College Cheruthuruthy offers. Other than academics our college has a lot of event’s technical and non technical. The biggest tech fest of Thrissur after GEC is ours. These are a key reason why I choose this college.

If I had another chance to study I will still select the B.Tech and come to Jyothi Engineering College Cheruthuruthy. There are various ways to enroll. There is management quota, community quota and NRI quota. One should fill up a form in the website about the admission and then they will contact you. Exams are very frequent because we have class tests, module test, and series followed with main exam. The academics really help in real life challenges because the projects and seminars really play an important role in the career.

The fees structure of the course is based on semesters. For me the fee was about Rs. 45,000. For me I took NRI quota, here we have to pay an amount to the college and it varies according to the marks and then the normal fees. Students with good marks can avail a scholarship as various scholarships are provided to the students at Jyothi Engineering College Cheruthuruthy.

The faculty members of Jyothi Engineering College Cheruthuruthy are well educated. Most of them have done M.Tech and then followed up to Ph.D and additional research. The use boards ppts and verbal communications for teaching. The exams are conducted every month so that you get an experience of the types of exams that are conducted here. The problem solving capacities of the faculty are very strong since the analytical skill is very good. Certain teachers really help in non academic things as well. They also give guidance on placements and on projects.

Placement cell is present in our college. It’s managed by Bibin Sir. The cell helps the students very much by providing them various placement opportunities. The cell constantly connects with different companies to always make a good contact with the company. There will be classes regarding placement cracking it helps in understanding how to face a placement exam and interview. The minimum package is of 4 LPA and maximum is up to 9 – 12 LPA. The placement package is highly dependent on the skills of the students. For me, I am not looking into placements as I am planning for higher studies.

I have stayed in the hostel for 1st year. It was a great experience we make new friends and it was honestly a great life during the hostel days. There will be faculty residing in the hostel. 1st years have another block where rooms have 3 beds whereas after 1st year the rooms have only 2 beds. There is time to go out and time for prayer as well. Everything is handled by Fathers in men’s hostel and Sisters in girl’s hostel. Boys and girls hostel are separated and there is a mess in each hostel. It’s an outstanding experience, great food and the food menu changes every month. It’s a great experience for me. Hostel fees are monthly about Rs. 6,000 per month. Timing for the hostel is kept like normal. The morning gate closes at 8.50 AM, it opens during lunch break and in evening the gate opens at exactly 3.55 PM and closes at 6 PM the 4 PM to 6 PM is the time to go out and also time to go for playing in grounds.

Campus of Jyothi Engineering College Cheruthuruthy is spread in a larger area. The campus has various things such as amphitheater, canteen, and cafeteria followed by small tea spots. The campus easily reachable as it’s very close to the railway station and bus stops. The vehicles are available every now and then. We have sports ground for basketball, football, volleyball, and badminton. Jyothi Engineering College Cheruthuruthy supports extracurricular activities very much. The college had a dedicated dance team etc. My favorite place was alumni corner of the college.

Campus life here is a mix of fun, learning, and unforgettable experiences. The crowd is diverse, and you’ll find all kinds of people friendly, ambitious, and creative. There are plenty of clubs to join, whether you’re into tech, music, or social work. College keeps things exciting with workshops, competitions, and cultural events. The annual fest is a big highlight, bringing the whole campus together to celebrate. Every day feels lively, with something new happening.
