A comprehensive review about Jagannath Gupta Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital

Overall Rating
The institute is a relatively new. The campus is modern. The campus has a central library a hospital, a cricket ground, football ground, basketball court, a badminton court and a mall which will start soon. This institute is comparatively closer to Kolkata. The facilities are great and the seniors are good too.
 

Academics Rating
This course is 5.5 years long in which you have to study for 4.5 years and 1 year of internship. You have to qualify NEET for getting into this course. During the academics years a student has to score a minimum of 50% marks to qualify for the university exams.
 

Faculty Rating
The facilities are great and very helpful. Most of the then have a minimum qualification of MD / MS or higher. All the faculties are doctor. Some are practicing as well. The teachers have a very unique style of teaching, they teach with a proper demonstration of the topic. There are dedicated mentors assigned to a student.
 

Placement Rating
After the 4.5 years of study a student has to undergo a complimentary internship. In the internship you get a monthly stipend of about 15000 in hand.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostels are also relatively new. The rooms are good and cleaned every alternate day. The hostel has a modern mess but the food quality is average and nothing to be excited about.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus has a hospital, an academic building where all the teaching and learning occurs. The campus has a central library where there are all the books needed for MBBS. The college campus has a cricket ground, football ground, basketball court and a badminton court. There is a mall opening very soon in the campus.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is exciting at first but with time it gets boring and dull. There are no clubs as such but the fest of our college is top notch. It is known as Magnus Fiesta. In our fest many well known celebrities have performed like Badshah, Honey Singh and Ayushman Khurana.

    Overall Rating
    This is among the best private medical colleges in west Bengal. It offers a much disciplined academic curriculum with frequent formative exams. It also offers various scopes for extracurricular activities like cricket, football, swimming, and more. It has its own gym and basketball court. It’s just 30km away from Kolkata.
