I have been studying in S.V.C. since 2022 and have observed some good and bad phases of this college. I would review this college an 8.4 out of 10. All amenities are available from a generator, refrigeration of water, cycle and bike stand, a big play ground, library, etc. are helpful for the students. But there are some problems like, there is no washroom for the students and no boy’s common room is present. Although a common room doesn't matter for us but the requirement of washrooms is very important.

All the teachers are friendly to the students. There is a library opened at all times for the students. If a student has any doubt and the college is closed, then he or she can contact the teachers to clear their doubts through special online classes. The processes of official works like scholarship, distribution of mark sheets etc. are done very fast. Internal college exams are taken to prepare students for their upcoming semester exams. To enter or to get admission in this college, at first you have to pass the exam conducted by the college for the specific subject you have enrolled for. All 12th pass candidates are eligible to join this college.

All the faculty members teach by projectors or smart boards every day. The students can see the board, so there are no visualization problems. The faculty members come to the college before the class starts, so they are always on time. They can teach in both languages, our mother tongue Bengali and also in English. At first, they cover a specific topic then ask students if there is any doubt, if not then they ask some questions from the topic. At last, they give regular home task from that topic. For practical classes students are taken to the practical room. The practical room is well maintained and contains all the machines needed for performing practicals.

No, there is no placement cell.

Yes, hostels are present. The hostel monthly charge is Rs. 300. All facilities are available such as water supply, fans, a bed, personal washrooms and 4 times meals are provided. The manager of the hostel is a very kind man. He takes care of all the students, although some female representatives are also present for providing help to the female students if needed.

The college campus is very good; students can do whatever they want after the college classes. There is a girl’s common room, gym for boys and a play ground is present having all equipments for playing such as a bat, balls like footballs, etc. All of our needs are fulfilled by the college.

The overall campus life is very good; an event is conducted by the seniors with cooperation of our teachers to conduct the Annual Freshers Program. An excursion, a study related tour is conducted every year with a very low price. A Science exhibition is held in the college. Saraswati Puja is celebrated every year in which every department has to participate in.
