Malankara Catholic College is one of the most reputed colleges in the Kanyakumari district of Tamil Nadu. The rate of university rank achieving students is higher compared to any other Arts and Science college in this area. They support all kind of sports and club activities to encourage students, that’s why I selected this college.

I got admission in B.Sc Computer Science. It requires 60% marks in your +2 exam. The entry requirements are first you have to fill the application form, then enter your details and check the course details you are looking for. You will have a small interview with the Principal; they’ll check your eligibility criteria and ask small questions. Finally, you have to pay the fees and other additional fee if required. I selected this subject because I like the programming language, creating applications gives opportunities in India as well as in abroad.

Here, the faculties are highly experienced and talented. Their teaching styles are very simple and easy to catch, even if you are an average student. If you don't understand or have doubts in any subject, they are ready to explain it in your mother tongue. All lecture classes are like an interaction session. They encourage students ask any doubts during the class. The faculties are highly ranked and experienced. Most of the teaching staffs have Ph.D backgrounds, so students are lucky to have highly profiled teachers.

They have a good placement cell. Every year they give job opportunities to the final year students from reputed companies with decent salary packages. It helps most of the students looking for jobs after getting the degree.

I didn’t get the opportunity to stay in the hostel because from my house is only 45 minutes away from the college.

I like the infrastructure of this college. It has a modern and very attractive building structure. It has a beautiful garden in middle of the college, where you can enjoy fresh air during your interval period. Here, the classrooms are very clean and very modern. There are projectors in every classroom that help students to learn during the lecture time. The classrooms are comfortable, providing lights, fans and water. The buildings are super modern and well-maintained. For the student’s safety, they provide CCTV. There is a massive library, where you get all kinds of reference books for your studies.

I like the campus life here. You get the most memorable memories of your life. The relationship between the students and teachers are like friends. Every year they conduct an Arts Day, where all the students get the opportunity to participate in events. Through this students can showcase their talents. They have clubs like the NSS; through this students help others in the society and can also serve the environment. They conduct a sports meet every year between the departments. The winning department gets the championship trophy. They engage students in not only in studies but in other activities as well. I really enjoyed my campus life here.
