Amity University Mumbai provides degree in interior design

I wanted to get enrolled in interior design college which gives a degree of the same, and colleges in Mumbai are less when it comes to 4 year design degree programs there are colleges for diploma programs. So I enrolled in Amity university, Mumbai as it provides major degree with a minor degree which we can choose at the time of admission. They also teach a foreign language which enhances the overall learning experience.

Bachelor of Interior Design course is for the students who are ready to use their creativity in the world of designing and problem solving. The eligibility is 10+2. They also offer scholarship according to the percentage of your 12th class. I got a scholarship which can be continued if you are one of the 3 highest rankers in class.

The faculty is very helpful. They give their best advice to the students and help them develop their skills which are useful in this course. The Faculty here allows each and every student to put their thoughts and help them to improve it without being very rude or judgmental. As we designers have jury instead of written exam so it's the effort from both faculty and students to make the jury successful.

There is also a placement cell in our institution which helps students of all the courses to get internships and jobs.

There are boys and girls hostel but hostlers struggles a lot as the college is in between of Bhavan Village so they have to spend a good amount for going in the Mumbai suburbs. There are canteen and cafes inside institute and also a stationary and general item shop which is helpful for the students. As for day scholars bus services are available from panel station to college and vice versa.

There are three blocks one is the main building which is A2 building. It has students of engineering and admission and other offices. Another one is A1 building which has other students of courses like BBA, Language, Law, and Pharmacy. Auditorium hall where all the events take place is also in this building. Last one A3 building is for architecture, interior design and fine arts students building. College also has all the sports facilities for students and they also organise annual sports event for students of all departments.

I being a day scholar have to travel 2 hours to reach college but being there with friends lightens my mood and the teaching atmosphere is really nice. There are all types of students in college from different parts of India, so it's really interesting to interact with people from different cultures as it makes a special bond between the two. There are so many fests going in college side by side with the academics which are really fun and everyone can participate in that. Students are really helpful. There you just have to find the right crowd according to your liking.
