Experiences at NIFT Bengaluru

Overall Rating
NIFT Bengaluru ranks as the third-best fashion college in India, and honestly, it stands up to that rank. Getting to be a student here was one of the best opportunities that came my way. The students here are provided with ample scope to bring out their inner design aesthetic and develop into their full potential as designers. Apart from that, several festivals and fest celebrations help the students tap into their creative and fun side.
 

Academics Rating
The courses are structured in a way that they combine classroom and fashion knowledge with real-time industry inputs to give the students an overall and holistic development. Since the first year is the same for all, irrespective of the fields, everyone gets to build upon the same basics and design principles, along with getting to mingling and networking with students of other departments. The programs are designed to help the students excel in every topic related to their chosen courses.
 

Faculty Rating
Since I joined the college during the lockdown, we attended all our classes online. During that time, the faculties showed the students immense support and understanding, making sure the students could learn to the maximum of their capacity even if the medium was restraining. After attending college in real-time, this experience only enhanced. The faculty members are very approachable and helpful. They are experts in their subjects and don't shy away from answering any number of doubts that the students might have.
 

Placement Rating
The placement cell at NIFT Bengaluru is very efficient. Since there are a lot of cooperate industries and offices in and around Bangalore, there are a lot of opportunities presented. A good SGPA and creative portfolio can do wonders for the students during the placements.
 

Hostel Rating
There is a girl’s hostel available in the campus. All first-years are provided with hostel rooms so they do not have to worry about their stay as soon as they move to Bangalore for college.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus is very lively and surrounded by flora. There are structures like an amphitheater, auditorium, etc that help the students get away from their everyday classrooms and interact in a non-traditional fun way. The amphitheater is very famous for its cultural celebrations and being everybody's favorite hangout spot. The labs all have the latest types of machinery required to support the course structures.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is as lively. There are several clubs that every student can fit into at least one of their favorites. The NIFT Bengaluru crowd believes in celebrating all festivals with the highest of energy. There is the annual fest named Spectrum which is the highlight of every student at the campus.
