Tezpur University is among one of top institution of the North East part of India. For B.Tech, it has 6 courses available including CSE, ECE, EE, ME, CE, and FET. My overall experience is very nice since I got admission here. In this University, 60% of total B.Tech seats are reserved for North East students. Admission process is based on the JEE Main result followed by JOSSA and CSAB counselling. However, for North East students, there is another counseling process. The reason behind choosing this college is because of it has good infrastructure and campus. Also, it has very suitable and decent environment to study. If one is interested in any further studies then you can definitely choose this college.

The Courses provided here are CSE, ECE, EE, ME, CE, and FET for B.Tech. However, various different courses such as B.Sc, M.Sc, MCA, and MBA are also available in the university. The admission to these courses are based on various exams like JEE Main, CUET, and state eligibility exams. The motive behind enrolling in B.Tech course is as I think I can find very good opportunity to learn and work on my skills.

The faculties teaching here are very experienced and knowledgeable. Most of the faculties have studied from IIT's and foreign universities. For every course, there are around 6-7 professors. Their style of teaching may be quite complex and boring to understand, but one can connect with them if you will focus on their class. Overall, the teachers are very helpful and decent.

Yes, the university has a Placement Cell. We have T&P cell working for student’s placements and Internships. The placement cell is not very active and resourceful; however, they are developing their reach and working on attracting more companies to the campus.

Tezpur University has 7 Boys and 8 Girls hostels. Hostels are very well maintained with lush green space and beautiful infrastructure. Hostels here are named after names of mountains and rivers. Some of the hostel names are: Patkai men’s hostel, Kanchenjunga men's hostel, and Nilachal Men's hostel. Every hostel is provided with Canteen facilities, common rooms for culture and music, and Wi-Fi facilities. Hostel rooms are double and triple seater. Mess food quality of hostels is average. Food quality is not too good but satisfactory. Hostels are provided with Table tennis, badminton, and chess sports, etc.

The one thing which I liked the most about this University is its Beautiful campus. University’s campus is around 270 acres equipped with lush greenery and beautiful infrastructure. Academic Blocks are also very beautiful and well maintained. Campus has all facilities like shops for essentials, cafes, restaurants, and stationary. It has beautiful main ground for football and cricket sports. Campus also has very sports courts like badminton court, basketball court, volleyball ground, swimming pool, etc.

Overall campus life is very nice and appealing. You will find it very peaceful and beautiful. Around 4000 students of different courses study in this campus. Campus has all basic facilities for students. University has different clubs such as Photography club, Dance club, Music club, Animal welfare club, etc. Various Fests are also being organised here by the student bodies such as Inscignis, Techxetra, Food fests, etc. Campus also has bus transportation facilities for students.
