I applied for this institute because I heard that the Economics Department here is better than other institutes. Now that I have started to attend this college, I like studying here because the teachers are very gentle and friendly. Additionally the campus is one of the best due to the greenery in this institute.

Our college provides various courses of Science, Arts and Commerce streams. The requirements to take admission are based on the marks obtained by a student in 12th standard. After applying in the desired courses, merit lists are published. The motive should be decided by the students themselves whether they like to study here based on their perspective.

In my department, there are five teachers. Our head of department is Rimjim Borah Madam, she completed Doctor of Philosophy in Economics and Education. Next we have Surajit Saikia Sir; he also pursued Doctor of Philosophy in Economics. Our other teachers are Nilutpal Chetia Sir, Ankika Dutta Madam, Ankshu Kumari Madam completed their degrees in Master of Philosophy. All of our teachers have their own unique way of teaching things. Rimjim Madam likes to teach by books and tells us to understand facts and concepts. Ankika Madam uses projection classes as it makes it easy to read and understand. Nilutpal Sir is a mathematical person and his style of teaching consists of tables and diagrams. Surajit Sir likes to teach in his own way by describing concepts from his point of view.

Yes, Gurgaon College has residential facilities. Hostel is provided for both boys and girl in our institute. Each room is consists of three beds and three study tables. The boy’s hostel can accommodate up to 100 students and the girl’s hostel can accommodate up to 200 students. The hostel facilitates with good amenities such as proper bathrooms, healthy food options, and clean living rooms.

Our college campus consists of sixteen departments. Each department has their own office, study hall and a department library. Other than that there are fourteen main halls in which each hall can accommodate up to 150 students. The colleges provide a cafeteria for snacks and lunch breaks, a library for studying, gym and playground for exercise and practice, science and computer labs, more facilities.

Gurgaon College campus life from my point of view is absolutely amazing. By coming to this institute I have learned and experienced how to live your life with friends and enjoy with them. Engagement activities are held in the college such as sports and cultural festivals, music festival, college elections. Annually at the end of a year departments take their students for field trips to explore new places and learn and connect with them.
