GMC Ratlam Review

Overall Rating
GMC Ratlam is a well built college and the main reason for me to choose this was its proximity to my hometown. The college infrastructure is amazing and has all facilities such as lecture halls, labs, simulation skills, 750 bed hospital, OPD, IPD services, OT, etc. There are hostel present for boys, girls, nurses, residents as well as faculty quarters also present. Campus also has cafeteria, library, gym, and all sports activities.
 

Academics Rating
The course is MBBS. Admission is done through merit based on NEET UG exam. All documents required for admission are checked by college prior to day of admission. Eligibility is 10+2 with more than 50% and qualifying NEET. Course fee structure includes 1 Lakh tuition, 12k hostel, 1k Library, 1k student welfare, and 350 cycle stand.
 

Faculty Rating
The college is well equipped with faculties and staff. Some departments may have shortage of staff. Faculties are all well qualified MBBS/MS/MD doctors. They are well interactive with the students. Proper teaching methods are followed. CBME curriculum is followed. Faculties are dedicated towards making great doctors and also treating patients.
 

Placement Rating
MBBS does not have anything like placements. But, internship program for MBBS students is present in the GMC hospital itself. Students are required to complete 1 year internship in all subjects after the 4th year. Internship program includes well clinical experience in all fields to form a base for practice.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel facility is available in GMC Ratlam campus itself. Both girls and boys hostel are 3 wing buildings. Well equipped rooms in single and double occupancy with all basic amenities like bed, almirah, table, chair, etc. Mess facility is available in the hostel itself at reasonable rates. Campus also has cricket, football, volleyball, basketball, TT grounds, etc.
 

Infrastructure Rating
A very well built infrastructure. Consists of an academic block which has 4 lecture halls which are well equipped with latest smart class technology and televisions with air conditioners. It also has all non-clinical departments with their well equipped laboratories. Also contains a well equipped library with more than 5000 books. Campus also has hostels for all students and staff. Hospital is well equipped with OPD, IPD, Radiology, Labs, etc. Operation theatre is also available.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is average. It is huge so students can roam around. It has an Amul parlour and Sanchi point which has all basic groceries available. College annual fest occurs yearly and is named ADRENO. College also has a cafeteria where students can relax and eat.

    I always wanted to be in a government medical college and I got it in 2020. I got this college through the counselling process.
