Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Law is one of the top & best colleges I have ever seen. While preparing for law CET I have decided that I will take admission in this college, reason behind this was that it is a reputed college and is approved by the Bar Council of India. The college rating is very much important because for further placement and job it's very much useful. I will suggest each and every student to take admission in Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Law.

The course that I'm pursuing is BLS.LLB (5 years). BLS means Bachelors of Legislative Science i.e. deep study of constitution. For this course I have go through entrance exam i.e. Law CET. Eligibility criteria for the test is 12th passed or if you are graduate then also you have to go through the same test i.e. Law CET. CLAT exam is also an option if you want college out of state. Law course is so interesting because you are dealing with all subjects like CrPc, IPC, Acts, and different types of law (family law, corporate law, labour law, contract law, environment law, transfer of property act and many more). After LL.B you can either practice in court as advocate or you may become lawyer, law college professor, legal adviser, etc. After LL.B you may precede for LL.M (masters). LL.B has different types i.e. B.A.LL.B, B.Com.LL.B, BBA.LL.B, etc.

College faculty is very good and well educated. Lectures are very interesting due to the style of teaching. As we are dealing with very interesting topic i.e. law, everyone is eager to learn and listen case laws. Teachers are friendly due to which the students do not hesitate to ask any doubt. The method of teaching is very different from other colleges. We are very proud that we have got such a good college with excellent and experienced faculty.

The placement depends on the individual’s performance and skill they learned during extracurricular activities, internships, and also overall academic performance matters a lot. College conducts many seminars regarding how to choose company and also encourage student to gain more practical knowledge and skills.

Yes, we have residential facilities in our college campus. Good infrastructure with good security and also hostel has canteen which is like mini restro. Food is good and the hygiene is properly maintained. The outside student needs not to worry regarding where to stay. Hostel has guest house where the parents can also stay. Rooms are cleaned daily and are featured with AC. Hostel is well maintained and clean.

Infrastructure is well and good. Campus is spread in a large area. The campus has strict security and other than college students no one can enter the college without permission. Sports stadium is also present inside campus and every year different matches are held over there. Campus environment is very peaceful.

Many fests are conducted in an academic year such as Velawcity (annual fest), freshers party, sports festival, Marathi divas (held in month of February), and more. There is big crowd in the fests as many other colleges also take part in it. We are eagerly waiting for our annual fest as these are one of the most enjoyable days here.
