DRIEMS University B.Tech CSE is recommended

I will definitely recommend the DRIEMS University for Computer Science and Engineering. All courses are affordable and focus on the basic fundamentals. The university has overall genuine placements, awesome infrastructure and tie ups with the local industries. There are more theory classes, but less practical and library periods. The course curriculum is good for clearing you fundamentals. Some subjects and topics are outdated and should be changed as they do not accomplish the industrial requirements. More career counselling seminars should be conducted in order to make students more industrial ready. The eligibility criteria are students should pass their 12th board, appear in the JEE Mains and the university entrance exam to get admission. The semester exams are relatively easy as compared to other universities.

The maximum number of faculties is well-experienced. They have good knowledge about their subjects, are helpful and provide good quality teaching. Some faculties prefer to teach on smart boards which are beneficial and time saving for the students. The faculties are supportive when it comes to encouraging students to participate in cultural events. Some faculties are GATE qualified and Ph.D. holders as well.

Placements in the Computer Science and Engineering are the best among all the branches. The career development cell is very helpful when it comes to placements. Several leading tech service based companies such as Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Bourntec, ApMoSys, Ajatus, Pinnacle and many more have hired students from this university. In other branches the placements are also good. Several energy and power production companies, electrical components manufacturer and construction companies such as Bajaj Electricals, AMPIN Energy, Thermax, Larsen & Toubro Limited, etc. have hired students from this university. The average placement rate is 50-60%. The average package is 3.6 LPA, with packages ranging from 2.4 LPA to 6 LPA.

The hostel is budget friendly and has good facilities. It has one boy’s and girl’s hostel inside the campus. The rooms are clean and have Wi-Fi facilities. Laundry workers are also available. The mess food is good and hygienic. Students are allowed to hang out and go outside within the designated hostel hours. To go home you need to take permission from the authorities to get a valid gate pass. In my opinion the hostel facilities are so good. Students make good friends, create good memory, do vlogs and have fun.

It has one of the best and eye-pleasing infrastructures in the state. The campus spans around 160 acres with trees and plants. It has three academic buildings in B.Tech. They are so well-designed with labs. There are two auditorium and smart classrooms having projectors. The infrastructure and buildings are perfect for making videos and doing photography as well, that's why some ODIA films have been shot in our university.

My campus life experience is pretty average. The university should conduct more events, inter-college competitions and extracurricular activities in order to make students more social and open. Unfortunately fests, voting systems, clubs, coding hackathons, entrepreneurial cells are not conducted in the campus. This university has a good canteen and cafeteria to relax and chill. The 'Padmini Care' medical facilities are available. There are good sports and game facilities too.
