KKWIEER College placement cell is supportive

I really liked the studying environment from an engineering perspective, because all the teachers and students share the same vision of experimenting and creating something on your own talent and knowledge. One thing which really helped me to move out of my cocoon and I am pretty sure for other students who are also shy and introvert is opportunities to participate in events. In college, we get to participate and also organize events and functions as committee member as well as individual. This includes music events, hackathon and Competitions related to Generative AI, Drone Making, and also ongoing traditional events like - Treasure Hunt, Debate Competition. Etc. My college also provided me with right kind of guidance and as I am a fresher and first batch student of Computer Science and Design, I personally got a lot of insights and learning’s which will benefit me throughout my further life. If we talk about equipment recently my college got VR / AR facilities but still improvement is required in terms of new age technological devices and instruments.

The CS and Design program at KKWIEER showed potential. It was thrilling to study new technologies, which matched my career aspirations. The program provided a strong theoretical base, but we noticed a gap between theory and real-world use. The syllabus seemed out of date. The tech field changes fast so the curriculum needs frequent updates. The basics were in place, but students will need to do a lot of learning on their own to be ready for work in the field. The base cost of taking admission in KKWIEER depends upon branch to branch and if student is under any specific category for example - in OBC - the fees is 50% of the original amount. Apart from tuition fees, you have nominal student insurance and stationary fees which are around 200 Rupees. There is no specific tuition fee increase policy and in total 4 years of my course, haven't seen any hikes as such. If you come under any category (except Open) you can apply to various scholarships provided by MahaDBT, which is government based portal for scholarships and free ships. After that, we as students have to find our own job roles by applying on LinkedIn, but campus placements are also organised right from start of final year (BE), they are helpful. Average salary is 6-7 LPA. The highest package was given to IT student by Dhruva Company which is of approx. 19 LPA.

KKWIEER’s professors were absolutely crucial to my college experience. With fewer students in each class, I got way more attention. It was awesome to have professors who really knew my name and seemed to care about whether I understood the topic or not. I could ask questions without feeling like a bother, and their feedback was super helpful. Most of them had Ph.D or Master’s degrees holders, and you could tell they knew their stuff. Some were all about lecturing, but I really clicked with the ones who liked to have class discussions. It made me think harder and helped me apply what I was learning in real-world. The best part was that these professors were super approachable. You could talk to them whenever you needed help, and they were always down to chat about class work or even just life stuff. It made me feel like I had someone to go to if I was struggling, and that made a huge difference.

I had an amazing experience with the placement opportunities at KKWIEER. The placement cell was incredibly supportive, offering workshops on resume writing, mock interviews, and soft skills that really helped me feel confident and prepared. Thanks to the college’s strong connections with top companies, there were plenty of great job options to choose from. With their help and guidance, I landed a fantastic position in my field. Overall, the dedication and effort the placement team put into helping student’s success were truly impressive.

No, I don't know about the Hostel, as I am a day scholar and haven't opted for hostel.

The thing I honestly and genuinely dislike is the infrastructure, although the infrastructure is slowly becoming better as I graduate. But I think they can provide better amenities. In particular, board [contd.] can be longer and also desk can be bigger so students can sit comfortably. College should provide at least 1 Air Conditioner in every classroom. The teaching staff is not enough to cater the students properly. Utilization of classroom space and open common room space is inadequate and thus leads to congestion of students in exam period.

Honestly speaking, there is not much campus life in KKWIEER. I mean there are some events, hackathons, exhibitions held in college regularly, but apart from that not much is expected. The annual fest named - Maffick, is conducted every year by students, and their respective committees in guidance & support given by Maffick Co-coordinator and other Co-coordinators. Maffick is held in Feb-Mar of every year. Alongside - with main fest performances - in pendol, there are also other events such as Rangoli competitions and N D (classical music performance). Our library is biggest library next to COEP Pune Library. You have to use your ID card to access the library. In classrooms, you are provided with fans, projector, and blackboard. Sports are played extensively in college - whether it is football, cricket, basketball, or anything. Gym is also available to students. Clubs like – Rotaract, MLC, and many other technical as well as creative clubs are present in the college.
