Overall Rating
The institute is amazing in terms of campus, infrastructure, and student facilities. I chose it only because I was an NRI student and wanted to get into a good college. The college typically has a building each dedicated to different branch including civil, mechanical, EC, EEE, CS, and CS with AI. The campus is located on a hill and hence a lot of inclined walking is required. Teaching staff is highly qualified but their teaching methods are questionable. Even though curriculum says interactive learning and unique teaching methods, they all prefer reading out from PPTs.
 

Academics Rating
There are five main branches here: civil, mechanical, EC, EEE, CS, and CS with AI. If you write the KEAM exam and score ranks, the college will be automatically assigned to you. If score is lower, you can get into the management quota seat with prescribed fees. If you are an NRI student, a donation amount of 50, 00,000 rupees have to be made along with normal fees. The eligibility exam is only KEAM.
 

Faculty Rating
In the civil department, there are more female teachers as compared to male teachers. Their methods do not have a modern or traditional approach, as they read out from PPTs for theory part and make us do problems by writing it on the board and explaining. It is not at all interactive or exciting, but almost all colleges have the same approach so it works. They are all highly qualified and we even have teachers who are graduated from IITs.
 

Placement Rating
We do have a placement cell that actively works to ensure student recruitments and also invite companies over for interviews. We are provided placement training for three weeks and then from 7th semester onwards, we are allowed to sit for interviews. We also have a separate floor for placement cell interviews. They operate through an app called 'Pod.Ai' where we have to register and make our own resumes.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostel is provided for men and women. They are within the camps and close to college itself. The reviews I have heard were not pleasant. The food is always criticized by faculty and students alike. Hostel wardens are strict for the 1st year students and more liberal for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure of our college is great. It even has accreditations on this account. We have a rainwater harvesting pond, large fire pits shaped like a building, football ground, basketball court, volleyball court, meals canteen, snacks canteen, and huge parking area within campus. First year students are only accommodated in the A block to avoid ragging. From second year onwards, we get to live in our department buildings.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life depends on the friends you make and optimism. Having said that, our college fest is one of the important part. It is named Crossroads and is a 3 days long fest conducted by students mainly with staff only as advisory members. The funding is completely looked after by students as well. The mechanical department hosts an Offroads also, which is an automobile showcase event that is equally exciting.
