My Views on Rajiv Gandhi South Campus

Overall Rating
Rajiv Gandhi South Campus is popularly known as RGSC. It located in a rural area which makes it peaceful and environment friendly. My experience here was great. The time I spent at RGSC was one of the best. I choose RGSC because it is a part of BHU. Others should go for Rajiv Gandhi South Campus if they want to live near the calm nature.
 

Academics Rating
The name of my course is B.Com (Hons.) Financial Market Management. As the name depicts, this course will give you a wide knowledge about Finance. The eligibility of this course is 10+2. One should score good marks in CUET to take admission here. The motive is simple and clear; if you want to make a career in Finance you should pursue this course.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members are good. All of them are well qualified and are Ph.D holders. Despite this, you'll face 1-2 faculty members who are not good in teaching. I think they may need some more training. Most of them are young, so it is quite easy to have a good friendly interaction with them.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have a placement cell. They work on behalf of all the students. They contact several companies to come in the campus. But if I talk about our course, there are no placements. In my batch not a single student has got placed. The reason behind that is almost every student wants to pursue higher education and complete the course like MBA, CA, CS, etc.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel life is best thing which I experienced in my college life. As I said RGSC is in a rural area so every student gets the hostel. Living in the hostel with your friends makes them just more than friends, they become like your family. The fees are very low; it costs Rs. 2,000 for a year and approx Rs. 3,500 is charged per month for the mess. Almost every facility is available in the hostel like a bed, chair, table, Wi-Fi, a Common Hall for conducting meetings, sports ground, badminton court, sports equipment like cricket bat, ball, volleyball, basket ball, table tennis, etc.
 

Infrastructure Rating
All the buildings are new so the infrastructure is good. The lecture theatre is 200 meters away from the hostel, so we reach within 5 minutes. In all the classes there is a projector which helps us to study through PPTs and presentations. There are many other free facilities available for the students such as a library, gym, canteen, etc.
 

Campus Rating
Overall, RGSC has a peaceful campus. There is only one annual fest held which is called ‘Disha’. Apart from that many other functions are organised from time to time. There is even a sport event held in the campus between different courses. Each course participates in the event with their team.
