This college has a brand name of ‘Symbiosis’ which in itself gives students a lot of leverage while applying for internships or participating in competitions. This brand name actually was what attracted me the most. This college provides numerous opportunities for students to excel in their career. They organise various guest lectures, conduct competitions, moot courts and debates. Symbiosis Law School encourages students to participate in national as well as international competitions. The overall experience is quite enriching and fulfilling.

For entering into any course in Symbiosis Law School students need to appear for the Symbiosis Entrance Test and in case of law it is called Symbiosis Law Entrance Test (SLAT). After appearing in the test students need to appear for the personal interviews. If a person clears the exam and interview, he/she is provided with the admission letter. In specific courses like B.A. and LLB students are required to score higher in the test. The course includes subjects from Humanities/Arts such as English, History, Sociology, etc. This college promotes studying foreign languages such as German, French and Spanish for one year (2 terms). Students are required to select any one of language of their choice to study. The LLB course include comprehensive subjects ranging from Contract Law, Torts, Criminal Law, Civil Law, International Law, IPR, Banking Law, Insurance Law, Competition Law, etc. The range is very wide and provides students with a great amount of knowledge to excel in their career afterwards. Students who opt for B.A. LLB have a variety of options to do such as litigation, judiciary, teaching, research work or give competitive examinations. They can also go for the corporate world. Thus, they have lots of options opened for them to pursue.

The faculty members teaching the courses are experts in their subjects. They conduct regular lectures. The faculty members are a mixture of residential faculties and visiting faculties. They provide additional reading materials in order to provide comprehensive knowledge about their subject. Their teaching style varies and depends on the person teaching.

This college has a placement cell since its establishment. The cell comprises of not only faculties but also students who use their contacts to provide internship for other students. Students who require internships can contact the cell. The placement cell provides placements to the students who opt for it. This college has already placed students in companies as well as well established firms like Deloitte, Tatva Legal, etc.

This college has residential facilities and it is mandatory for every student to stay in the hostel. The hostels are categorised into boy’s and girl’s hostels. The rooms are big and have triple sharing. They provide spacious and separate cupboards, beds, bookshelves, study tables and chairs. The rooms have attached washroom. The campus is vast and surrounded by greenery. It has a futsal area for playing football, volleyball and basketball. There is a single mess where everyone can eat and a canteen from where students can purchase food.

The infrastructure of this college is great. It is divided into various areas or blocks. There is an academic block where the library and classrooms are situated in. The campus has a barber shop, salon, general store, food shop and a stationery shop.

The campus life includes various activities some of which are academic centric and some not. They are conducted throughout the year. The crowd is extremely diverse from people all over India as well as the world. The clubs which are non academic in nature are the drama club, cultural club and many more. The campus celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi, Onam and Holi among other festivals. Some events conducted are movie screening, talent show, fresher’s party, farewell and the annual sports events where people from different colleges come and participate. The college fest includes various fun activities. Symbiosis Law School hosts their flagship event annually which is the National Moot Court Competition. Various honorable judges from the High Court and Supreme Court are invited to this event.
