My Opinion on Maharishi Arvind Institute of Science & Management

Overall Rating
This institute is situated in the centre of the city, apart from other colleges which are almost acres away from the city. This was the first and only reason for choosing this institute for my Masters. I have completed my MCA from this institute. To be honest MAISM is pretty average. However, if you just want to complete your post graduation while continuing your job I will definitely recommend this institute as they do not put any objection if you are doing a job with your course. They will just call when you have to give the practical, midterm and semester exams.
 

Academics Rating
There are no such parameters fixed for getting admission in this institute, as it is affiliated to RTU. For admission, the minimum requirement needed is only 40-50% in your graduation (aggregate). The course is completely based on old models. However, in the second year they introduce us to a few new subjects such as Cloud, AI, Data Science, etc.
 

Faculty Rating
MAISM has average faculties. In this era of growing technology we need faculties from the corporate sector who can lead us through the real curriculum.
 

Placement Rating
This institute doesn’t provide many placements. They just give you a list of companies and ask you to go and apply yourself. Only local companies come for recruitment. Therefore, we have to apply for off-campus placements.
 

Hostel Rating
I haven't stayed in the hostel. As this city is centrally located, maximum students don't take hostel facilities. However, I haven't seen anyone from the hostel, so there might be a possibility of unavailability of hostels in this institute.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus size is like 1/4 of normal colleges. It doesn't have any sports facilities. The campus has a 20 years old infrastructure. There is a 3-storey building having a good computer system in the new lab. This is the only thing which I liked the most.
 

Campus Rating
Students come from different backgrounds. You will see a bunch of people gathered and talking about interesting topics in the campus. Talking about clubs and fest, there are no such facilities available here. From the past two years I haven't seen any fest or clubs engagement activities taking place.
