My College Life at NIAMT, Ranchi

Overall Rating
NIAMT located at Hatia, Ranchi is filled with greenery all around. This institute is Asia's only institute that trains students in the field of Foundry and Forge technology. Even though it is a core branch based institute, with the evolution of Computer Branch in the institute, it has started a path towards IT with manufacturing skills. This institute has 100% placement.
 

Academics Rating
Coming to academics, the institute has well structured syllabus focusing on manufacturing skills. Now, after a lot of hard work, our institute has become a deemed to be university. Moving towards a path of success, this institute aims at providing the best academic result with AIR 1, AIR 3 and so on in GATE results.
 

Faculty Rating
Marching towards Faculties, The faculties of our institute are really helpful. They guide us whenever we need it throughout the journey of college like from academics to internship and co-curricular activities. They also provide good notes. They are strict and have their way of handling the situations.
 

Placement Rating
We have a placement cell at our institute. This institute provides 100% placement and been far better than most of the NITs.
 

Hostel Rating
There are 5 boys’ hostel and 2 girls’ hostel in NIAMT. The new girl's hostel has recently been constructed. Hostel facilities are good enough. In girls’ hostel, rooms are available in double sharing. In boys’ hostel, 1st year students have to stay in double sharing rooms but from 2nd year onwards, they get to stay in single occupancy rooms also. Housekeeping facilities are also provided to maintain cleanliness and hygiene. The food quality is better than most of the other institutes.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The NIAMT institute has a good comforting infrastructure but it has lot of scope of improvement. It has library, computer lab, gym and Asia's largest workshop. The institute is filled with greenery, which is loved by the nature loving people. There is a big playground where games like volleyball, football cricket are played.
 

Campus Rating
When I visited the institute campus for the first time, it felt like it is a quite big institute. However with the passing time, I have become very familiar and comfortable with the place. Seniors may appear to be strict but as you get to know them, you will understand their perspective and real nature. They often help us and give their notes if we respect them.

    This is one of the prestigious institutes in Jharkhand. Earlier, it was under Jharkhand University of Technology (JUT) but, today it is a deemed university. The alumni of this institute are present at good place in India and also in foreign. Many are head and managing directors of companies. This institute is best for Mechanical and Metallurgical Engineering. This institute offers 100 percent placement in this branch.     More than 2 years have been passed and institute life seems to be decent. National Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology do not have a big campus area still the institute is worth taking admission due to its fees and low student intake. I choose this institute due to its advancement in manufacturing technology which is as per standards and need of the nation. They mainly focus on core sector rather than IT sector which makes this institute different.... Read Full Review

    Our college is situated in Ranchi which is the capital of state Jharkhand. Being in the state of Jharkhand, it provides a lot of placement opportunities for core branches like mechanical, material science, and production engineering.     This educational institution is situated in the capital city of state Jharkhand. College is well known for its recent development in infrastructure and placement. Our Institution recently made its place in the list of Institute of national importance and got its name in the list of IITs and NITs. NIAMT college clearly a dream college for me....
