My experiences at Prasad Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow

Overall Rating
My overall experience in this college is good. I got this college from UPNEET counseling. College campus is always under construction and dusty. Hostel rooms are spacious and air conditioned. Its location is 25 km away from city center.
 

Academics Rating
This is a 4.5 year study program with 1 year of internship which makes it a total of 5.5 years program, and it covers 19 subjects. There are no clinical postings in the first year but the clinical posting starts from the second year. There are practical labs for first year. There are two terminal exams and one Pre University exam before University exams but if you have not paid the fees you are not eligible to sit in exams so have that in mind.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members in this college are overall good. Faculty members are there to teach you if you’re interested to study. The lectures and the exams make you competent enough to crack exam. Many teachers are from KGMU or some other renowned colleges / universities.
 

Placement Rating
There are no in campus placements in this course of MBBS. You can get an in campus job after completion of the course. There is no specific placement cell in the institute which can help students acquire jobs in the industry.
 

Hostel Rating
My hostel is air conditioned but it is not providing air condition rooms to new batches. Room is shared among 3 students. There is a recreational room in the hostel but it is always locked.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college is right now under construction that's why right now the campus atmosphere is dusty and polluted. There is 1 building of academic block, 1 building of hospital, 2 buildings of boy’s hostels, 2 buildings of girl’s hostels, and 2 separate hostels for PG girls and boys.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life of this college is not good. There are no fests, clubs or any other engagement activities. This is what makes the campus life boring.

    The institute is very close to the airport and hence makes going home easier since I come from a different state. Secondly the fee is comparatively low then other colleges.     I chose this institute because of lowest tuition fee which is 8.5 lakh at time of my admission in 2019 batch. Hostel fee was 1.5 lakh and mess charges 2.4 lakh and other facilities at 90 thousands rupees. Another reason was that it allows outing till 7 PM.... Read Full Review
