Honest Review on IIIT Sri City

Overall Rating
IIIT Sri City, located near Chennai, is a developing institute known for its strong placement record and good faculty. It has a vibrant coding culture and hosts hackathons and coding competitions. The institute offers good classroom infrastructure but falls short in other areas. While campus life is decent, campus itself isn't that impressive, and sports facilities are limited. The fees are high and food quality is above average. Academically the institute is strict and requires JEE Mains eligibility for B.Tech admission. Most students are from Telugu states.
 

Academics Rating
I enrolled in Bachelor of Technology (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science) course in 2023. Course curriculum is impressive and holds strong practical exposure. You need strong Math foundation for this course as it involves heavy Math. Your eligibility depends on your JEE Mains rank. My course especially Artificial Intelligence is in demand in market so I chose it. I recommend you choosing one of Computer Science and AI & DS if you want to join this institute.
 

Faculty Rating
Most of the faculty members are young. But they are skillful (not all) and very helpful. They always welcome you to resolve your queries and doubts. You need to attend classes regularly to be on point. You can also contact the faculty outside the class for any other queries and they will be ready to give you time despite their busy schedule.
 

Placement Rating
There is good placement cell in our institute. Regular hackathons and workshops help you in knowing industrial expectations and requirements. Ultimately your placement depends on your hard work and strategy. Some top tech companies visit our campus every year. Although they hire only few and you always have the opportunity.
 

Hostel Rating
Most of the hostel blocks are new. Any problem will be resolved immediately by our warden. You will not find any issues with hostel. They are maintained, neat and clean. There can be either two or three members in a room depending on your year of study.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Classroom’s infrastructure is excellent. You feel like you are in IIT Bombay if you see classrooms. But other infrastructure such as auditorium and indoor stadium are not present here. You don't have a specified ground. There is only one play ground which is mostly wet due to frequent rainfall. It is mostly rainy here.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life would be rated the least here because there are no big fests and events. There is only one big fest which is Abhisarga. All blocks are close to each other. Weather is hot and humid most of the times.

    The overall experience till now is good. The institute surrounding was peaceful as it was located in rural region. The main factors to select this institute is packages that are offered here and the timings in the institute were not stressful.     The overall experience in IIIT Sri City is so good. The placements and opportunities to learn are abundant. The faculty is good. I got seat in other renowned institute but I prefer this institute to this because of placements and package. There are many fests conducted in the institute.     It is very nice college. Here we have got very supportive faculty. Nice placement package has been come to this college. And it is in good environmental location.     It is one of the best engineering colleges in South India. The infrastructure is still developing, and atmosphere is nice. The faculty is highly qualified in their courses. And the placements are very good. And the average placement is very high in CSE course.
