My Outlook on Walchand College of Engineering

Overall Rating
I am choosing this college because of its placement record. Sangli is not like Pune and Mumbai but still many companies are coming into the Walchand College and provide giving good packages. Another reason for choosing this college was greenery and atmosphere.
 

Academics Rating
There are 6 courses i.e. Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering are in the college but in 2024, AIML, Robotics & Automation, Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology came to unaided category. On the basis of MHTCET and JEE Mains percentile, students are able to get admission into the college.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are very knowledgeable. Even some of teachers have completed Ph.D from various IIT's. Teachers use smart board when they are teaching and it is very useful for students for understanding the concept. They are very co-operative as they continuously give guidance for other activities like mini and mega project and because of their guidance, last year students’ mega project got patent from government.
 

Placement Rating
Yes the college have placement cell. TPO i.e. Training and Placement officer of the college is Sanjay Dhaigude sir. He is well known for his connections with the many companies which helps students in getting placement and because of this, placement in this college are in the top 5 college in the Maharashtra.
 

Hostel Rating
College has its own hostel and there are around 7-8 hostels (3-4 for girl and 4for boys). The fee of hostel for student is around ₹27000 for 10 month and there are two messes available nearby hostel and the fee for the message is ₹2500 for one month and on every Sunday all mess is closed at night. College hostel enrollment is on the basis of percentile in the MHTCET.
 

Infrastructure Rating
As college has academic block, all the lectures are held in that block. As structure of the classrooms is very good and proper ventilation is maintained. Also there are various new labs inaugurated in the college like new structural lab near graphic hall.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is very nice. Seniors are always available to give insights of their experiences and assist you throughout the journey. Their experience teaches a lot and prepares you for upcoming event. There are various club in the college like ‘Mesa Mechit’ of mechanical , Pace it is about overall development ,CESA of Civil, ESSA of electrical, Elesa of electronic ,GDSC and Codeshef for CS and IT.
