Karim City College is affiliated to Kolhan University, Chaibasa. It offers various UG and PG courses with minimum specializations. The flagship course of this college is B.Sc. I pursued B.Com from this college as the course fee was generous and the faculty was highly experienced and helped students in solving their doubts. Classes for the Commerce section was held in the evening. No scholarship is provided by the college since the fee is affordable. Overall, KCC is a good college to be considered for education.

B.Com is offered in two specializations, i.e., B.Com (Hons.) and B.Com, respectively. Applicant must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks in any field to be eligible to get admission to this program. It is a 3-year full-time course. The fee for this course ranges between INR 15,000/- to 20,000/-. The fee is subject to change according to the courses. To enroll to this program, candidates have to visit the college, get the application form, attach all the required documents and submit the form at the college with the application fee. Previously, the exams were conducted once a year. If you are willing to pursue B.com then KCC must be on your list, as the admission process is hassle-free and budget-friendly with faculties giving valuable knowledge and insights about the course.

The faculty at Karim City College is adequate for all the programs and the faculty members are qualified in their respective fields. Talking about my course, there was only 1 professor for each subject and there was no substitute for that particular subject. The teaching style of the faculty was really good; they used to explain things in a simplified way so that everyone could understand the theory. They taught us concepts using examples related to our daily lives.

There is a placement cell in KCC. A minimum of 2 companies have visited our campus; one was Bandhan Bank and the other was a BPO company. Only those students were given the chance to appear for placement whose grade for the past two years were more than 80%. Internship or training program was not offered to the students.

Hostel facility was not provided by the college.

The infrastructure of the college is average. It is not huge but has a three storey building and a centre space for events. There is a well-equipped library where all the course books are available for the students. Various labs, a small canteen, and a separate room with some indoor games are available for the students.

The campus life at the college is average. The campus is not so vast. Fests and other inter-collegiate programs are conducted at the campus itself. As it is a Muslim college, girls were not allowed to roam in the college in free time. There was a common room at the top floor for girls to wait for the lecture.
