Established in 1996, Indian Institute of Management (IIM Indore) had stated one of the top business schools in the country. It has consistently ranked as one of the top IIMs overall, and is ranked 8th in the NIRF management rankings, 2024. IIM Indore’s large 193-acre campus, set on a beautiful hilltop provides a beautiful setting for academic and extracurricular activities. IIM Indore offers a variety of programs including PGP (MBA), IPM (BA+ MBA), DPM (Ph.D), EPGP (Executive MBA), and more.

IIM Indore offers multiple programs ranging from the undergraduate level to doctoral programs (Ph.D). The curriculum in each is highly varied and flexible. There are a variety of very interesting and industry oriented electives to choose from, all of which are taught by experienced faculty. The curriculum for each program is rigorous and helps students adapt to the landscape of the dynamic, ever-demanding world of business and management. The grading system is based on relative grading. This fosters a spirit of competition among peers and encourages adaptability.

All the professors are highly educated from premiere institutes, most of them hold Ph.D. The professors have extensive knowledge of their subjects and are mostly research oriented. Most of the subjects have a teaching associates as well, who are students of the doctoral program at IIM Indore, who help students with all the subject related problems. The faculty is very helpful and knowledgeable.

The exposure to placements and the recruitment process is given to even the IPM (Undergraduate Programmed) students from the very first year. In the second year of IPM and in the after the first year of PGP, students have mandatory internships to gain industry experience and helping IIM Indore’s motto of making socially conscious leaders. IIM Indore offers strong placements from top companies like BCG, McKinsey and Goldman Sachs. The highest package went to 1.23 Cr (CTC) and the average placement was 30.21 LPA for the 2023 PGP batch.

There are 18 hostels in IIM Indore, with more under construction. The hostels are comfortable and well-maintained with single rooms as well as three or four sharing rooms for the IPM students. Married residences are also available. Almost all hotels are equipped with badminton courts, table tennis tables, and a basketball court. There are multiple food outlets around hostels, giving students a variety of food options to choose from around campus. There are also special residences for students enrolled in executive programs, and for the faculty.

With a mix of nature and modern infrastructure, IIM Indore boasts a large 193-acre campus, which sometimes comes as a curse when you have to climb a slope every morning to class. IIM Indore has a beautiful learning center complete with books on every subject matter, curricular or co-curricular. There’s an old auditorium and a new auditorium for guest lectures and orientations. The new auditorium also plays movies on the weekends. The academic block has AC classrooms, a printing shop and cafeteria. There are shuttles for taking you to the city, as the campus lies on the outskirts of Indore as well. And of course, who can forget about the iconic, beautiful golden arches at the main gate. Sports facilities like an Olympic sized swimming pool, a basketball court, a sports complex compete with a squash court, badminton court, tennis court, TT tables, gymnasium, foosball and chess are also present. There is also a football turf and a cricket stadium.

The campus life is mostly busy but in a way where you’ll always be enjoying. There are cultural, sports and management fests, like Iris, Atharv Rannbhoomi and Utsaha. There are many events hosted by students themselves, movie nights in the auditorium, and management based events hosted by the institute. The campus is perfect for a holistic development, filled with cultural, sports, management and literary events.
