I found this university while I was going through a list of colleges / universities that are the best to pursue a Degree in Journalism. It had good reviews and in fact, people said that the university offers good facilities for Journalism as they have their own studio. I searched a little bit more and found the university had a good reputation and was accredited by NAAC. I am currently in my second year and honestly, I feel that the discipline and strictness is definitely commendable. If you're looking for good colleges near Ghaziabad, Delhi then this could be your go to. The university provides good infrastructure and facilities for their students, faculties and workers.

The only eligibility criterion that is needed for enrollment in any course is that you must have 70% above marks in your 12th standard. You have to fill an application form and pay a fee of Rs. 1100/- which might vary every year. My only motive behind enrolling for this program was that I was fascinated with the facilities it provided for my course and also that it was within my education budget.

My BJMC faculty is extremely supportive and understanding. They will help and motivate you to do your best and will also give you opportunities to prove yourself. There might be times when you will question their decision, but I think they know what they are doing. The teaching style of each faculty is different. Our HOD teaches us in both English and Hindi language so that we're able to understand everything better. Our Communication teacher mentors us during the activities. Each faculty is specialized in their subjects. They
regularly take feedback on every teacher’s performance at the end of the semester.

Yes, our university does have a Placement Cell. But in Journalism course, the Placement Cell is not so beneficial. You will only get good placements in BBA, MIB courses. In journalism, due to our faculties’ connection you will secure good Internships at Media Houses and might also get Placement, but the university does not provide so many placement opportunities.

Yes, our university does have residential facilities for both girls and boys. The hostel provides all the facilities, and our complaints are resolved immediately. The fee of my hostel per year is Rs. 1,55,000/- of which I also paid Rs. 5000/- as security money during the time of my admission. The fee is increased every year. The mess food is also of good quality and hygienic. They have a Mess Committee to listen and work upon the students’ preferences and serve the food accordingly. We also have medical facilities, departmental store, etc. where everything is available.

The infrastructure is not so huge but is well maintained. There is only one block for the university and other for hostel. There are 4 floors where we have our theory and lab classes. Furniture are kept in a well-maintained condition and are replaced when broken or damaged. We also have a common games room to relax and enjoy in our leisure time. There is also a canteen and hotspot for students to spend their time and relax.

The campus life is a mix of both good and strict. But I feel they value rules and regulations here. No matter who you are, you will still have to follow all the rules and adhere to them. They also have events like Freshers, Pulse, and other departmental events. The overall crowd isn't very fancy, because students come from different states and cultures and most of the students are from the same city. There are around 10+ clubs in my university which are active and growing.
