My experience and learning from GSSDGS Khalsa College, Patiala

Overall Rating
GSSDGS Khalsa College is a great place to learn and develop skills. We learned a lot with fun. College was established in 1960 and has good infrastructure with a large playing ground. Different buildings for different departments. Availability of hostel for girls. College management is also very cooperative and friendly.
 

Academics Rating
I have pursued BCA from khalsa college Patiala. Learned a lot from well educated and cooperative professors. I did BCA because of good scope in web development and IT sector in India as well as in foreign countries. As soon as I was graduated, I was able to secure a job as web developer.
 

Faculty Rating
There are total 190 professors in college with around 5600 students. The college follows the semester system to effectively schedule learning process. Minimum qualification of every professor is Masters. Way of teaching of professors was very good.
 

Placement Rating
College always focused on making students employable and getting them placed in greater organisations.
 

Hostel Rating
There was no boys hostel when I was a student. There was only girls hostel which used to get closed by 6pm and then there was no entry allowed. I had a trouble due to no hostel and so I had to travel for an hour while coming and 1.5 hours while going due to traffic. As heard girls hostel had great food.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus has an area of around 20.5 acres with a good canteen, large playing ground, and labs for different departments.
 

Campus Rating
College organise annual fest every year in which different events are performed especially bhangra. Fair fest is also organised in which different stalls serve different food and games and this fest is organised by students for other students and faculty members.

    If I talk about my overall experience at KCP then it's very obvious to tell about both the positive and negative sides. Khalsa College is situated at Patiala (Punjab) is a medium college to pursue degree from as a UG course.
