My overall experience at this college is going amazing. Students and teachers of our department are truly helpful and supportive. Our teachers really put their heart and soul to deliver their best so that we can learn and get hand on experience. This makes our course different from others as we get hand on experience to enhance our skills. Lot of workshops is arranged so that we get extra knowledge other than academic syllabus.

My course is B.Sc. (Microbial and food technology). It is one of its type in whole north India. It's only available in MCM DAV College for women, Chandigarh. This course is truly amazing and has great scope. In which we study microbiology, food technology and chemistry so we have allot of options available for our career. We are eligible for food industries, pharmaceutical industries, cosmetic industries, etc. Eligibility of this course is qualified 12th standard in medical or non medical stream. You need to have at least 50 percent marks in your 10th and 12 the standard.

Faculty of our college is good. But, our department teachers are truly amazing. They all our Ph.D in their respective fields. They have great experience, knowledge and are very hard working. They arrange several workshops for students so that we can have hand on experience and enhance our skills and CV. Various projects are run under their guidance which compete in national level competition. We have won a national award for one project. They give their best in each and every form to educate and prepare the students.

Infrastructure of college is good as compared to other colleges of Chandigarh. We have one hockey ground, basketball ground, tennis court, badminton court, etc. We have fully air conditioned auditorium. One thing which we don't like in the college is our benches. Few classes in our college have really old wooden benches which sometimes make it uncomfortable for sitting. Rest labs, canteens and sitting area of our college are commendable.

Campus Life of MCM DAV College Chandigarh is great. You will get to meet a lot of amazing people with whom you will be going to share lifetime bond. We have an annual fest called Meraki fest. It is a two day fest. It happens in February. Its amazing experience. A well known singer is invited for performances and on second day we do party. That party is truly once in lifetime experience. Last time a special DJ was invited from Pune and we had an amazing experience.
