JIS College of Engineering B.Tech Review By Vishal Nandy

As I was always passionate about Computer Science and Coding stuff, I have chosen CSE. This brunch makes me perfectly aligned with my dream and this college would be a great medium for it. JIS College Of Engineering is a NAAC 'A'accredited college along with UGC approval. Also it was very perfect choice for me as I always wanted to study from my home state. This Autonomous college has amazing internship opportunities along with perfect in- campus placement record of 80% with a average package of 5.6 LPA, and a highest package of 22.4 LPA.

As I a B.Tech CSE student, I can say that in this Indian Education System, JISCE added the perfect computer core and fundamental subjects like OS, Networking, UNIX and Databases which are essential to take a job as a fresher. In CSE, you have to work on various projects and research papers along with college faculties which give you perfect guidance. Eligibility: You need 60% marks in your 12th Boards (with PCM & English), and a decent rank in JEE Mains or WBJEE entrance exam.

For Department of CSE, The Head of the Department, Dr. Bikramjit Sarkar sir, and other faculties like Ms. Jayshree Bhattacharya ma'am, Ms. Jayeeta Ghosh ma'am, Dr. Sanket Dan Sir are way very supportive and have unique ways to teach everything in a simple way. From projects in hackathons, research paper writing, working over every small thing makes them unique faculties. Even other faculties of this department are very friendly in their teaching approach which gives a healthier environment which is ideal for student-faculty interaction.

Yeah, college has placement cell. The alumni network is very strong which helps every student in campus placement. Placement training is held to provide placement related guidance and make students industry ready, which is activated from 3rd year of academic year.

Academic books are given from the college libraries. There are 7 buildings in JISCE along with Main (Administrative Building), CMS Building, Poly-technique Building, Mechanical Building and other buildings. Every classroom is well equipped and perfectly cleaned which gives a quite hygienic vibe. In main building, there are digital classrooms in 3rd floor which is called as "Flip Classroom" where the group discussion can be done with 1:1 teacher interaction.

However, overall campus life would be joyful if any student comes and take admission in this college. From extracurricular activities to perfect tech environment, it gives a student perfect vibe of an Engineering college. Most active clubs of JISCE are: Coding Club (where I am core team member), Photography Club, Sports Club, Cultural & Music Club Mathematics Club and Environmental & Science Club. In a year there have minimum 3-4 events per months along with 2 mega events: ‘Jistech’ (West Bengal's biggest tech Fest which is held every year in JISCE), maJIStic (Annual Cultural Fest of JIS College Of Engineering). Hence, this college would be the best college which you can go for, from where you can gain personal skills along with ultimate exploration and a good career.
