I am a 3rd year student of B.E in the Computer Science and Engineering branch. This program offers a lot of practical and theoretical knowledge and deals with the areas like Web Development, Full Stack and Software Development. I chose this program to merge my knowledge and skills to implement a better version of me. The course offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to scale up the ideas of the students according to the needs of the IT sector to place them in a good company. The teachers are very supportive and friendly to help us step in the right way. The environment of the institute is a major reason for me to opt for it, which also includes their teaching-learning process, placements, co-curricular activities, etc. I would suggest this institute to those who want to excel in their career because the journey starts here.

Currently, I am in my 3rd year as a Computer Science student at PESITM, Shimoga. The ongoing trend in the IT sector motivated me to join this particular branch among the other branches. The curriculum created for this course is well suited for a student who wants to develop their technical skills. Our curriculum is well structured, combining core programming skills, algorithms and design principles to level up our critical thinking abilities. The entry requirements for the particular course are a good understanding in Mathematics and basic programming knowledge. Any 2nd PU Science stream passed students with a minimum of percentage are eligible for this course. I strongly believe that the IT development in the next generation will create a good number of employment opportunities.

The faculty members teaching in our institute are highly qualified and have an in-depth knowledge in their respective subjects. Faculties of our institute care for us and most of them are Ph.D holders in their subjects which help to them convey the concepts more clearly. Overall, all the faculty members are truly concerned about the students’ success. They are very supportive towards the students. Their love towards teaching and the way they motivate us to work hard is truly amazing.

Yes, our institute has a Placement Cell that holds a good number of partnerships with many companies. The Cell is very active and supportive and that's the reason for the students getting placed in good companies. It helps the pre-final year students to get internship opportunity and know about the corporate world. The placement rate is increasing every year with good chance of getting hired.

Yes, our institute provides a decent residential facility for students, and the hostel life is adjustable with its beautiful Western Ghats’ weather. The food they serve in the hostel is veg only no option for the non-veg menu. The buildings are newly constructed and well maintained with clean and hygiene. Each room is spacious and provides with the basic amenities like study table, cupboards and bed.

Our institute was established in 2007. And since it is newly constructed, it has a modern infrastructure, making it stand out from the other older institutions in the city. The Academic Blocks are spacious and well designed with the state of art of classrooms having high speed internet connection.

Campus life at our institute a great. A balance between the academics and curricular activities can be maintained here. There are many active clubs in the institute and students can join any of the clubs as they wish. These clubs frequently organize events in the institute. Campus has beautiful parks to spend time with friends. Fests are frequently organized in every semester with a lot of enthusiasm. The departments conduct workshops and organises industrial visits for us to witness the IT sector and prepare ourselves according to the industry needs.
