SEA College of Engineering and Technology B.Tech Review By Rachitha K

My journey in SEA College of Engineering is memorable. I have quite a good satisfaction of completing my Engineering from that college. The college is AICTE approved and accredited by NAAC and also is affiliated with VTU Belgaum. Infrastructure is good as labs, library, and canteens are well maintained. The college atmosphere will be so good and the college is surrounded by gardens. We can find temple, gardens, playgrounds, hostels and canteen inside the campus. Campus is well maintained and we can find friendly staff in the college. The greenery in the campus keeps us cool. These factors made me to join the college.

After completing my PUC, I took a decision to pursuing Engineering in Computer Science. Hence, I wrote competitive exams such as KCET and COMEDK. In KCET my rank was 43000 and through counseling I got government seat in private college at SEA College of Engineering. Any student who has completed his/her intermediate can join engineering through KCET or COMEDK or if you are not eligible to get seat through these entrance exams, you can also join through management quota but you have to submit your matriculation and intermediate certificates compulsory and you should be the student of Science stream in intermediate. Moreover, Engineering is a course where we learn more about technology, programming and for those who have interest and dedication towards learning about technology will be having a bright future ahead. In engineering we have streams like many courses such as Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Artificial Intelligence, internet of things, Cyber Security, Information Science, Mechanical, Civil Engineering and so on. You can choose the stream based on your interests.

Faculty in our college is very friendly. They also provide support for our ideas and also they encourage us to achieve our goals. Some of the faculties are very talented and have good knowledge about the subject. They always teach us in a simple and interesting way. Moreover, the faculty also mingles with the students and also participates in the cultural activities.

We have placement cell in our college but the placement rate is low. Only few students gets placement in our college. As the college is in developing phase the placement rate has been increasing. The average package is 4.5 LPA. But nowadays number of companies visiting our college for placement is increasing, also placement related training sessions are also been conducted which is really helpful for students to acquire jobs in the companies.

Hostel facility is available in our college. There are separate hostel facilities for girls outside the campus and there is hostel facility for boys inside the campus. Hostel infrastructure is good and food is also good. They provide healthy and hygienic food. Washing Machines, hot water facility and Wi-Fi facility are also provided. Moreover Girl’s hostel will be closed at 7:00 PM in the evening. The wardens are also so strict. Double, triple and quadruple sharing rooms will be available.

Infrastructure of our college is really good. There are separate blocks for Degree, PUC, Engineering, Paramedical, MBA and Primary School. We can also find temple, big function halls, gardens, canteens, playground inside the campus. Washrooms are in good condition. We can find library which contains 1000's of books, we can also borrow books from the library. We can also find digital library where we can use computers with Wi-Fi facility which is all time open in the college hours.

I really enjoyed my campus life. I have many sweet memories there. Many Cultural activities and fests such as ethnic day, freshers day, college fest, technical fests, sports day, Kannada Rajyostava, Independence Day, Republic Day and other events are conducted in the campus. Sometimes, inter college fests are also conducted and students from other engineering colleges can also participate in the events.
