My Journey in IGU

Overall Rating
I am enrolled in an integrated program of B.Com and M.Com for 5 years. I chose this university because it is near to my home and have knowledgeable teachers.
 

Academics Rating
An entrance exam will be there for getting enrolled in this university. After completing 12th standard with a decent grade and having passing marks in the entrance, you will definitely get admission easily. The entrance test is very simple and has questions from your 12th class subjects. The students who want to pursue banking or other government or private sector exams can choose as you have enough time to prepare for the government exam.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty teaching our course is either pursuing PhDs or completed their PhDs. Some are assistant professor in my department. The young professors have a wonderful style of teaching, never getting bored in their class and giving additional knowledge about real life things. Some teachers are strict in their class for result and class regularity among the students.
 

Placement Rating
There is no placement cell.
 

Hostel Rating
Residential facilities are also available in this university and it is very affordable for the students. The facility and infrastructure is somehow good. Hostels are well furnished and have Wi-Fi facilities which needs to be further improved. The recreational activities are organized from time to time. Various DJ parties, fresher, farewell, Holi party, New year is organized.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are four buildings and each of them has different departments. In Commerce building, there are various commerce departments like M.Com (2 year) and MBA (2 year) and have classes all of my senior and junior in it. There is a well air conditioning seminar hall in which various academic activities are organized like presentation, and various other informative seminars.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life is somehow good. There is a rush of students here but it is tier 3 university which means is in development phase. In 2024 session, various clubs are formed like coding, drama, fashion, acting, sports, etc. A yearly program named Youth fest, ‘Hindola’ is organized and many other programs like convocation and orientation for students and Many other cultural programs like Diwali fest and Teej festival also organized.

    The environment of the university is so fresh and peaceful. In Indira Gandhi University there is a big campus. Plantation is done on the both side of roads in the campus. All the facility is provided by member of department to the student so there is no difficulty in anything. Hostel facility, Wi-Fi facility, etc. all facilities are available in the university.     In current trend, courses and jobs in Computer Science is highly demanded. I am also a Computer Science enthusiast and a good learning environment of skillful students, and many Tech and Hackathon competitions are required so that students have a better knowledge of real-life programming. Talking about my university, course study is great but there is no hackathon. The students can learn online and participate in solving LeetCode problems.
