Maharishi University B.Com Review By Akansha Sharma

I’m a second year student here, pursuing Bachelor of Commerce from this university. Teachers of my department (School of Business Management) are supportive; they don’t put stress on you for your academic performance.

For B.Com program and everyone is eligible to have admission through direct visit in the campus. There is no group discussion or personal interview required. You are required to come and visit the university with all important documents like Transfer Certificate, migration certificate, your boards marksheet ( both for 10 tie and 12 the board), etc.

Faculty members of my department are supportive. They don’t put stress on students during examinations. They support you and help you in achieving good grades, even the marking scheme is also up to the mark. Basically, they conduct moderate level checking in examination which is very helpful and stress-free for students. In examination, they basically ask what they have taught you in examinations. They even promote participating in sports event being held in university.

I’m a second year student so I don’t know about much about the placement, but as I have heard from my seniors, there is an active placement cell in our university which helps students to be placed in many companies.

About infrastructure, there is not much to say as this is a university which is at a growing stage. This is not fully developed as the universities around this area. But in this campus, the management promotes greenery. There are proper playgrounds for students which includes cricket ground, tennis court and football ground. Students in the evening tend to play in these grounds. Class’s infrastructure is at moderate level. Projector is there in every class for a beneficial study, which helps students to study with proper skills. Library in this campus is also good as almost every book is available in the library. There are different labs for Science and Medical Students in the campus itself.

The campus life is average but can be enhanced too much level. The quality of the crowd needs to be improved. Management needs to organize more and more activities and events. Instead, there are a departmental events and fests in the university, for example, law fest: Maharishi Premier league and Young shark for school of business management. As in conclusion, this university is a well discipline university in this area comparatively to the other universities present over here. They are promoted to participate more and more in sports competitions which are held every six months.
