My Thoughts over Jogesh Chandra Chaudhuri Law College

Overall Rating
If your goal is to start your legal journey from a place which is well-equipped to suit your needs, then Jogesh Chandra Chaudhuri Law College should definitely be your choice. The faculty, as well as the non-teaching staff is supportive.
 

Academics Rating
My course is BA LLB. It also offers other Law courses, including BA LLB (Hons.). It consists of 10 semesters, i.e., 2 semesters each year. The subjects vary from Family Law to Taxation Law, with Constitutional Law as well as Administrative Law.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty of Law department is diverse and supportive. The professors are always there when you need them. They are also available for students outside class. During college hours, all of our professors are punctual and strict, which is necessary while pursuing a course as Law. Each of them is highly qualified and can very well become a judge or a top lawyer, but they are devoting all their energy and resources for our betterment.
 

Placement Rating
No, we do not have any placement cell at Jogesh Chandra Chaudhuri Law College.
 

Hostel Rating
No, there are no residential facilities. Most people hail from Kolkata, where the college is. People from other districts or states can rent a flat nearby.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Jogesh Chandra Chaudhuri Law College might look small, but has a rich heritage and legacy. For people who are unaware, our college used to be one of Tipu Sultan's infamous “Kothabaris”. The rooms and corridors are the same as they were during the British era, with regular improvements being done whenever necessary. it also has a library and book bank, where students can issue books as per their syllabus.
 

Campus Rating
College hosts various cultural events, like Saraswati Puja, Independence Day, and many others. Even though there may not a fest for us as such, but the farewell parties or the fresher’s parties definitely make up for it. Students wait all day for DJ to arrive.

    I have just graduated and all I can say is when anyone thinks of pursuing law, they should choose government college over private college. Our fee was very less and our college was a morning college so at 11.30 AM our classes used to get over.
