My College Life in JCCLC Kolkata: Academics, Activities, & Placement

Overall Rating
I have just graduated and all I can say is when anyone thinks of pursuing law, they should choose government college over private college. Our fee was very less and our college was a morning college so at 11.30 AM our classes used to get over. Therefore, whoever wanted to pursue internships even during college months could easily do that. Our moot society and ADR community were quite vocal and active too.
 

Academics Rating
Our course in this college is much better than any other state university and private university. Exams were sometimes rescheduled due to civil issues, rest assured everything was great. With due respect to college even though JCCLC Kolkata is quite small, but academics was par with any top college.
Our annual fee was very affordable. It was just Rs. 2,600 and in that too scholarships were available.
 

Faculty Rating
Indeed best of the best faculty were there as most of them were alumnus of NLUs and some were even foreign graduates. For each subject expert teachers were assigned. We had old classrooms, where not much technical assistance like the projectors etc. were there. Still, with limited resources our faculties teaching was loud and clear as whatever they taught went straight into our head. They entertained doubts and even conducted extra classes for doubts.
 

Infrastructure Rating
It's an old British building with British architecture. Libraries and all have been modernized and even canteen is clean and hygiene. Lobbies are the area to roam around, as we don't have recreational facilities or a lawn to roam around. Parking space was good. There is a seminar hall and guest lectures and college events were held there.
 

Campus Rating
Not many events happen here, but still Freshers party, and a DJ event every year is held at our college. Festivals are also celebrated, be it Hindus, Christian or Islamic Festivals, all are celebrated the way they are supposed to be. It is a wonderful experience.
