Best Dental College of Tamil Nadu

Overall Rating
It is a well renowned among dental colleges and doesn't degrade its reputation. If you go by academics, it is a good college with good faculties, a bit strict college when it comes to discipline. But the infrastructure is not up the mark considering a college of this stature, comfortable but can be improves. Events are well conducted, sporting facilities are under development. Overall a decent college. This college has won honorary award such as “Best Dental College” of Tamil Nadu in 2023.
 

Academics Rating
This college is a great place if a student wants to pursue a career in Dentistry. Academics are taught in a way a student can understand, even if it is surface level and by asking doubts, it is taught pretty well. The eligibility is through NEET entrance test and cut off is relatively low for a student to enroll here.
 

Faculty Rating
There are wide ranges of faculties who are well-versed in their respective fields in a department. Each and every faculty is MDS graduate in Dentistry specific courses. For the subjects such as Anatomy, Pharmacology, Pathology, and Physiology, MD (MBBS) graduates who have 20-25 year experience take part in teaching. Faculties are coherent, strict and makes sure a student passes with flying colors.
 

Placement Rating
No, there isn't a placement cell but there are counselors who guide BDS graduates on what they are willing to pursue.
 

Hostel Rating
In this well reputed college, hostel is a major drawback. The cost is a bit high but the facilities are not up to the mark.
 

Infrastructure Rating
When it comes to infrastructure, this college isn’t poor but also not too great. It is pretty decent. Specimens, slides, all the equipment, and materials are provided if necessary. Restrooms are well maintained, ventilation and air conditioning needs improvement in some lecture halls. Separate labs are present for each department. Overall, infrastructure can be improved.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is good, the seniors, faculties are friendly outside of academics and helpful. There are separate clubs such as anti-ragging, grievance, etc. Festivals are plenty in this college. Celebrations for every festival are conducted in a good manner. Each year, a convivial sports event happens among all four academic year students, which is a fun event. Many interactive events are conducted as well.
