Overall Rating
Diamond Harbour Government Medical College and Hospital is probably the best college for students. This college is situated in a very beautiful place. This college is ranked 5th among 35 medical Colleges in West Bengal.
 

Academics Rating
To get admission in this college you need to qualify NEET examination and have a good rank to appear for counselling. I am pursuing MBBS which is a five year course and the overall fee of this course is Rs.40, 500/-. The classes start from 9.00 AM and in a proper routine. If any class is cancelled then an extra class will be taken. Before final examination, revision classes are taken, and each subject has a separate lab.
 

Faculty Rating
The teaching staff in our college is very good and they all have done the MD course in their subjects. They really work hard to offer good quality education, and the lectures are easy to understand but still, after a class ends, the faculties arrange a doubt clearing session. If any student cannot ask doubt in front of class, then they can ask the professor personally. In MBBS, we are supposed to gain a lot of hands-on experience, and the professor takes each and every class to teach us how to conduct the practical.
 

Placement Rating
There is no Placement Cell at our college but after the completion of 4th year, you need to do a mandatory internship for 1 year which also pays a decent stipend from the government. In our college you can do housestaffship which is also a paid work. After Clearing NEET PG, you can pursue MD and MS in your preferred subject and earn money along the way.
 

Hostel Rating
The hostel facility is available but for boys’ hostels the rooms are limited, and you have to be on the waiting list. Three students have to share a single room, and every student gets one personal bed, wardrobe, chair, and a table. The hostels are clean and large.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of this college is not fancy but still decent. The lab equipment are in a proper shape with the availability of all the required materials, chemicals, and testing kits along with experienced lab assistants. This college is new and that is why equipment are also new. One microscope is available for 3 students which is of a good quality.
 

Campus Rating
The campus has many clubs such as dance, fashion and singing. Every year a fest is arranged for students’ hidden talent. This college is also active in sports and has teams for various sports.

    Our campus is situated in the southern most part of West Bengal. For this reason, this place is cool and windy than most of the places in the state. From 5th floor of our college, the river that drains in bay of Bengal is also visible. There is a large lake with an island and migratory birds.... Read Full Review
