Universal College of Engineering: College with Lot of Potential

Overall Rating
I chose Universal College of Engineering based on my MHT CET scores. College infrastructure was great but ventilation inside the campus needs to be improved. Other than that, all the amenities are available. Placements are decent keeping in mind the location of college. Sports and culture events are actively hosted. Location is the only downside but has to do nothing with the college, as the quality of road does not come under college responsibility. This college has lot of potential.
 

Academics Rating
There few colleges in Mumbai, which provide admission in AIML branch. This college has branches like Computer Engineering, IT, AIML, and Data Engineering. Entry requirement is appear in MHT CET entrance exam. Eligibility depends on each year’s cutoff (it fluctuates).
 

Faculty Rating
Faculties are supportive especially in first Year. They help us in all kind is issues. Most of the teachers are PhD holders or still pursuing multiple degrees. They have complete knowledge of subject they are teaching. Teaching style is modern. They use PPTs and 3D models wherever required.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, college has placement cell, partnered with IIT Bombay e-cell. Placements are great. Internship and training starts from third year onwards where they start preparing students for interview rounds and MCQs. From the beginning of fourth year placements, & internship rounds begin, and students start being placed. Faculties actively help students regarding any issue.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, hostels are available. Prices are decent and affordable. Infrastructure is good enough with all amenities provided.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure is spread across 8-acres of land, which is big enough. Universal College of Engineering has bodies like E-Cell, Consultancy Room, Health Room, Gym Khana, Library, Multiple Laboratories, boys, and girls separate Common Rooms, Canteen, Open Classroom, and Shiv Mandir. It also has sufficient classrooms where each classroom has a capacity of 60 students. Labs are fully equipped laptop with high-end specifications (i.e. i5 and i7) with graphic cards.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is great and healthy. There is no ragging. Universal College of Engineering has 2-3 events happening each month along with multiple seminars and guest lecturers. College has GDG (i.e. Google On Campus) where students are given multiple tasks of google to complete that help in up-skilling them. College has NSS events happening each month with multiple camps. Overall, this college has wide scope other than academics too as the college actively supports students to participate in hackathons and other external events.
