The admission process here is very easy. You have to submit your valid documents and that is it. I got admission to this college within 5-6 hours. After that, I immediately received an admission letter. But, if you’re eligible for any scholarship or fee waiver, you might have to wait for the admission rounds. Because, if you take admission through the entrance exam score. That you can get a fee waiver and there are a lot of chances of it. Only some students are applying through that. If students want to take admission on the basis of your exam score, people don’t allow or prefer it. The academic record of the college is so good. I took the BBA course here. During my time, everyone was suggesting to do BBA from this college only that is the main reason I opted for that. Also for the little interest and fascination, I developed in business administration.

Professors here are pass outs of IIMs. They have very well knowledge of the subject they are teaching and are experts in that. The academic qualification of the faculties here is up to the master. Many professors here are PhD holders also. Professors here are not very strict like you hear in other colleges. They all seek discipline from each student. There is a criterion of 75% attendance in college. And if you are not able to fulfill those criteria, you will be warned of an attendance backlog. Many students receive an attendance backlog here. But if you have a genuine reason for not being able to attend the classes, you will be freed. All the professors teach very well and up to the point. They also help us in making class notes which is one thing I like about instructors here.

Placements for our college are not fixed. It can vary each year. If you want placements then there are 90% chances that you will land a good placement. But the reason is that the placement is not enough. You have to look at which type of job you are going to do. There are only a few companies that offer a good type of job with a great CTC package. If you are not considering these parameters. The average placement goes around 15 LPA in the computer science branch. Cogent, Max Hospital, Taj Hotel, HCL, Concentrix, Nestle, etc. are the companies that visit our college for placements.

IMS unison college Dehradun offers 2 separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostels are situated here on the college campus itself. Which is a great advantage, as you save a lot of time traveling. Apart from this if students do not want to take hostel service. Then they can even opt for transportation services. Where the college bus will come to your house each morning to college and will drop you at your home each evening. It is seen that Hostellers have more fun than scholars here. They have to leave by bus as soon as the college finishes at 5 pm each day. Also, the hostellers have to share a room with one student. The room is very big and comfortable for two people. The mess food is not very good but of an okay quality.

The college was recently built which you can see in its style of construction. It has a typical modern school-type design. Most of the classrooms are smart-lab equipped, especially in our department. Apart from this, one huge library is there where students used to sit and study. The library offers a variety of books, latest books to old books. The library is also responsible for the Wi-Fi that the college offers. If we have to use the college Wi-Fi, we generally take seats in the library for convenient usage. The computer labs also offer internet but the lab is usually busy all the time. Apart from this, there are 4-5 small canteens all over the campus. The fast-food shops outside the campus near the college are usually our hangout place. Whenever we got free, we used to hang out there and have fun.

The campus life here at IMS Unison College is based on the events that are taking place outside the college. Because the campus is not very big and happening, you will be getting a lot of fun and hangout places. Despite this, whenever there is a holiday, we used to make small trips. To the nearby cities, Roorkee, Mussoorie, Haridwar, etc. Our college's main fest is Alumni Meet. It is fun and we get a chance to meet successful people that have passed out from our college. We used to travel each year to Roorkee to attend the Thompson event. It is the biggest technical fest in our state.
