Overall experience of Govt. Engineering College, Ajmer is awesome and life changing decision that I have made for my further studies. It is a good college with NBA accreditation. It has a large campus and all facilities are there. There are many memories that I have made with my friends and faculty members. Overall experience in Mechanical Engineering branch is awesome and I enjoyed it. I will recommend this college to the students looking for colleges offering Mechanical Engineering in Rajasthan.

Entry process of Govt. Engineering College, Ajmer is through Rajasthan engineering entrance process and direct entry, but I recommend REAP counseling because through this you should get total fees withdrawal seat in which your whole tuition fees is returned. Once you fill REAP form, college is allotted to you and you should report in college at respective date. On the time of reporting you should take all the original documents like 12th mark sheet, migration certificate, health certificate, family income certificate, and more. Now coming to course detail, it is four year course in which 8 semesters are there. Each semester has one final exam and two midterm exam each having 30 marks. Anyone who has done 12th or given JEE can take admission in this college. College faculty member are good in nature and are very helpful.

Mechanical branch is the first branch of Govt. Engineering College, Ajmer and all the faculty member of mechanical department are very experienced in their field and core branch. In which Dr. Alok Khatri sir is the head of the Mechanical department, he is very experienced in Mechanical Vibration subject and Dr. Chandan Sharma sir is the chief exam coordinator of the college and also a good teacher of mechanical design. They established an engaging environment in the college and their style of teaching is very simple and easy to understand.

Yes, college has a training and placement cell. Training and placement cell office staff and head are very helpful and help students to get placement. They invite company for placements and contact them to visit college for placements.

Yes, College has hostel facility for only girls. The college does not have any hostel for boy’s students. I would recommend the students to take a hostel outside the college.

Govt. Engineering College, Ajmer has two academic blocks that are known as old building and new building. Old building is also known as pushkar bhavan. It is the main building in which principal office is present, proctor section, exam section, account section and computer lab are also present there. Classes of CS, IT and Electronics and Communication departments are held there. Coming to new building, new building is all Mechanical block and all Mechanical students’ classes are held there. New building has State Bank of India branch in the entrance. Labs for different subjects like Mathematic, Communication, Physics and Chemistry are present in this building. A dedicated library, civil branch labs, mechanical lab, etc. are also present in the college. There are separate students and faculty parking and all the campus is ragging free and cctv camera is installed everywhere.

Overall campus life of Govt. Engineering College, Ajmer is awesome and very hectic. There are many clubs in which all the extracurricular activities are covered. Cultural program of the college is known as Tarangeni, in this the alumni are invited and felicitation certificate given to top students.
