GL Bajaj Group of Institutions B.Tech Review By Shreyash Singh

The overall experience at GL Bajaj Group of Institutions is quite satisfying as it covers most of things that an Engineering undergraduate dreams for. It has various clubs, which provides exposures to the students. Digitalized labs with latest modifications are present hence, students get chance to perform and meet their goals. The hostel services are provided with in the college campus. Bus services are provided for day scholar students. Coming to the reason why I joined this college: I am at a fee waiver seat at this, which a student gets if he/she has scored above 85 percentile in JEE Main Exam. The fee structure is very decent and placement and internship opportunities are great which made me choose this college.

I am currently enrolled in B.Tech in the field of Computer Science & Engineering (Core). There are allied branches in the college like AI, AI-ML, and AI-DS (Artificial Intelligence & Data Science). Along with this, the college offers Management Studies (MBA). So talking especially about B.Tech, the students can get admission through either direct admission or UPTAC counseling (also called as AKTU counseling). One can easily get fee waiver seat if scores above 85 percentile in JEE Main and other waivers are also there if PCM aggregate is above 85% then 25% fee waiver or if above 90% then 50% fee waiver. Most of the students take admission in the college due to its shining placements as most of the students are placed with decent packages.

Each faculty in GL Bajaj Group of Institutions holds Master's Degree, which is the minimum eligibility, and most of the professors are having Doctorate Degree. The faculty works over students, ensuring they best performance in the tests and external examinations. The faculty use different teaching aids in teaching. In classrooms, teaching the whiteboard is used but the practical performance is done in the labs along with discussion sessions, doubt sessions and presentation are also done. The faculties are hardworking and focus on the students.

We have a dedicated placement cell at GL Bajaj Group of Institutions. The placement organizes several future guidance sessions and expert sessions since the first year. From second semester, training on Data structures is also started to keep students in touch with procedures of placements. The level of training session is based on batch of students, which is divided based on students performance. It brings many companies like Cognizant, Salary box, Convolute, Accenture, TCS, etc. Most of the students are placed at a decent package.

The hostel is within the college campus. Some of the faculty members also reside in hostel to maintain decorum of the hostel. The faculty building is also next to hostel so students have opportunity to interact with them even after the college. The hostel rooms are in dual sharing means 2 students in a room. The options are provided for air-conditioned or non-air conditioned. The rooms are equipped with bed, table, and chair along with 24-7 electricity. The mess is also available at a distance of 50 meters from the hostels. It is great and the quality of food is average to good.

The campus is quite decent in the area. It has a huge playground, basketball court, badminton court, sports room, and all the facilities of sports. GYM is also provided in the college for the hostel students. The building is good with the classrooms and labs, which are fully air-conditioned. There are 3 blocks are Block A and Block B. studies are carried out in block A and management activities are done in Block B. canteens are available within the campus.

The overall campus life is good to very good. It would have been better if the location of the college would not have been much far from the city as the college is at exteriors of the city Mathura. The campus life is awesome as the technical clubs, Fresher activities, and fest i.e. ‘Toonav’ are held every year, which holds lots of activities. The clubs are coding, environment, literary, etc. Events like Dandiya night, Celebrity Night, Diwali are shining outsource of college in which both students and teachers are involved.
