Pursuing Aquaculture in M.E.S. Asmabi College

Overall Rating
I chose M.E.S. Asmabi College because it is the only college in Kerala that provides Aquaculture course. If I am to speak about the college, it has very good infrastructure, facilities, and especially faculties. They are well experienced. Our college provides many specializations in B.Sc and BBA. It also provides masters and PhD. I recommend others to choose this college to experience a different life.
 

Academics Rating
This specific course is based on Aquaculture and Fisheries. It makes the learner industry ready. Admission to this course is through allotment process. Anyone with plus two certificate in Biological Science with 60% marks can apply for this course. Those who are interested in Fisheries or Aquaculture or any type of fish related studies can opt for this course.
 

Faculty Rating
All of the faculties in our department are PhD holders. They are well experienced in this field and have a lot of practical knowledge, which help us with our queries. The teaching styles help us to understand a difficult concept easily. Majority of the teachings are practical based.
 

Placement Rating
There is a placement cell in our college but that is not much efficient. It is efficient only for Tourism and Logistics students. Placements for majority of the departments are not up to the mark.
 

Hostel Rating
We have residential facilities in M.E.S. Asmabi College. Three people are accommodated in a room. Girl’s hostel is very strict. Mess provides homely food.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Each department has different building. Its departments have facilities required for that particular study. Our department has well equipped labs with a small museum containing Marine and Aquatic organisms. In addition, we have a lot of aquariums and tanks, which are maintained by students, which increase our proficiency. College has a big library, which consist of almost 40000 books. It also has a digital library.
 

Campus Rating
Our college provides a nice campus life. Many clubs are present in our college like biodiversity club, which conserves our nature. We conduct many fests. Each department conducts different types of fest or events related to a particular day or currently relevant matter. We have many sports and arts activities.

    MES Asmabi college is a beautiful and charming eco friendly college. The college has A grade in NAAC Accreditation. The college is highly developed and it supports better education system. There are many programs conducted in our college. My course is B.Sc Aquaculture. It is a highly scoped course. The course is only available in this college at Calicut University.
