My experience in this institute is average but at the same time peaceful. No ragging or even a fight is allowed in PUSSGRC. The seniors helped me a lot in my initial days and even today. The junior-senior bond is one of the advantages of this campus. I chose this institute because I don't like the hustle and bustle of cities, I like the peaceful environment of towns and villages, and this campus satisfies that criteria for me. Also, during summers, the campus remains cool in the shades of lush green trees. Good placement records of past batches also attracted me in choosing this campus and one of the main reasons is that it is affiliated with Panjab University which has its high value in the reputed Universities of India.

The engineering department UIET of PUSSGRC, Hoshiarpur is the main academic department, which covers most of the campus area and most number of the students. Students from all over India come here for engineering every year. They give JEE Main entrance exam and apply for JAC Chandigarh counselling to get admission in this campus. The students with decent ranks can get admissions here easily and almost everyone. The alumni of this campus are working in reputed companies in the country and even abroad.

The faculties are not many in number, but all of them are helpful. They help students as much as possible. Some of the faculties are highly knowledgeable, graduated from NITs, IITs and some are doing research work in various fields. Most of the faculties are local from nearby areas.

The institute has its own Placement Cell called TPC UIETH, which is doing a great role in providing placement opportunities for final year students. Also, Panjab University has a joint Placement Cell in Chandigarh, which also provides job opportunities for students of this campus. In 2024, over 35 companies conducted on campus placement drives, over 70 offers were received, 65 students were placed in companies like Infosys, Cognizant, Quark, Josh Tech, Chic Mic, Growth Natives, Pie InfoTech, Code Insights, Xenon Stack, etc. The highest package offered is 13 LPA and average is 5 LPA -7 LPA on campus. One of the students got campus placement of 25 LPA from Cisco.

College has two hostels one for girls and one for boys. The girls hostel is big enough and every girl gets a room there. While boys hostel is small, only some of the merit student gets room there. Others boys rent PGs outside campus. The PGs charges are very high. Both hostels have there own mess, the food of the messes are good and cheap.

The institute has two academic blocks, one for engineering and one for law. They have their separate libraries. The books are more than enough; most of the necessary books are easily available. The campus has a dispensary and an ambulance van, which provides medicines for students after checkup, easily. One coffee and tea shop is also available. The infrastructure is not big but unique and almost everything is available. Grounds for each sport are present like volleyball, basketball, badminton, football, etc. There is adequate lighting in the night as well.

The campus life of the institute is average because there are no shops or markets outside. Campus for recreation and basic amenities. The city is 7 km away from the institute. The institute has some of the clubs namely Varta, Shor, Dcult, Platform Tech, etc. The institute has had no engineering fests in recent years, only one law fest in 2024 and some of the cultural and extracurricular activities. A sports meet is organised every year.
